I got up early to see the cooling tower being demolished (blown up), this street was packed, H&S? - bah! - the old generating station in Hull. The petrol station is on Chanterlands Ave, still there, different prices.

That’s 83p a gallon (10% of today’s prices) and that was after the 1973 oil crisis . Before that it was about 35p.
