Hopefully this will be wrapped under the Christmas tree that I'll probably be stealing from Delamere Forest this year.

I've got both those books - I'd rate the Ruppert one as a bit meatier than the Axe, which I finished in two evenings. Enlightening but a bit lightweight really.

 

I've got "The Road To Muckle Flugga" by Phil Llewellin on my Christmas list - I used to love his pieces in CAR. I wouldn't mind the Best of Russell Bulgin as well, but it's been out of print for years and secondhand copies seem to go for £££s. Hopefully - like "Only Here For The Beer" by Gerry Marshall, it will get a reprint one day.

Talking of Clarkson,

I read a good review of - 'Driving Us Insane: A year in the fast lane - Jeremy Klaxon'

which is a Clarkson piss-take & includes such memorable lines as,

 

"this is better than waxing Myleene Klass"

 

which I suspect will take the edge off the bloke for much of next year

I bought that Roy Axe book but I haven't read it yet cos I'm still trawling through a Clive Cussler...which I'm a bit bored with....but I have this thing about not starting another book til I've finished the current one .....I've had a quick flick through at the piccies , though!
