Nursing a semi.  That's magnificent.

Is that... the Cadilliac of minivans?

No, that would be the Oldsmobile Silhouette.  This is the Pontiac TransSport; below this was the Chevrolet Lumina, confusingly named because I had a 1991 Lumina four-door sedan some years ago!

All three are eminently desirable, at least to experienced Yank lickers like me.

Indeed the Pontiac of Minivans!

1990 so first model year, running the 3.1 (not the preferable 3.8… but beggars can’t be choosers) full US spec looking like a Florida import early in life. Bought over to the UK in 1992 by the looks of things. Used by the PO as a family/holiday car and then parked up in a carpeted temp controlled garage when the children left home.

Likely needs a bit of going through, but looks very straight and good if I’m honest… a few bits: speedo doesn’t work, headliner is sagging badly. Tyres first, they’re all very very old, although the back ones look brand new!

Cannot wait to get the confidence in it to take it places!

Hard to believe there’s only three years between these two white cars…

I looked at that sticker on mine and thought ‘what kind of moron needs a sticker to warn them not to hit their head on the car door?!

Of course, shortly afterwards I twatted my head into the corner of the door, right beside the warning sticker.

Well done on the purchase - these are a solid contender for Best Car Ever, IMO.

Almost had to drag them away to bed as they would not get out of it!

Hard agree! I missed the red one so much… I’m hoping a mere 3.1 is not a disappointment compared to the 3.8

What are you trying to do? Collect all the different colours!?😄

Heck yes, white is the best color for them, too! I don't think I've seen this one come up for sale, great to see it on here, definitely looking forward to seeing more of it!

I've had both 3.1 and 3.8 in different cars.  Don't worry about the missing 700cc, you won't notice.  The 3.1 was totally acceptable in daily use, and not too thirsty either (but then I was measuring it against a Volvo 740 and a 6.4 litre Cadillac...).  I missed out on Bonk, so I'm really hoping I get to see this one.

I had an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with the 3.1 engine, that went pretty well but it was a bit smaller and lighter than this.

It's just less capacity to turn petrol into noise.  I suspect the forward motion will be largely similar.

How bad is this one's rear axle?

Oooh bonk Mk2!

Is it better in the ways the first one wasn't?

Less rusty… that’s the key one!

TBF, half the miles as well!
