or taxed.......guess that gives them the right to take it away, wonder if the Police would see it that way if i went and took a car that was open and untaxed away? and then people in that circle wonder why there can be animosity :roll:

Thats the impression I got; parked at the roadside so he had it away, using the excuse that "everyone else on here would have done it".

What an absolute turd-burglar.

I've added my two-penneth to the Ovalchat thread too....

Well said outlaw!!!

I'm a long time lurker, and it's a shame that my first post is on this subject. Might I just say Mr Gonzo114, well done on that well spelt and punctuated missive.

I, for one don't believe a word about you not stealing the old Datty, you are a contemptible little scrote, who gives banger racing a bad name.

Basically, you've stolen the car, in an attempt to look big and clever in front of your chavvy, knuckle-dragging friends, and being thicker than the proverbial pig-shit, did not realise that there would be some backlash from both the classic and banger car fraternity. You then dumped the car, and ran away. End of.

Don't bother trying to argue - not that you will, because you won't understand what I've written above. Maybe you need to get someone to translate into words of one syllable, or a series of grunts.

I hope this whole episode has been a lesson to you, and anyone else on here who decides that other peoples property is theirs, and turns into a common thief. Karma has a strange way of turning things back on you, and maybe someone will do the same to you. Would you like that? Didn't think so.

Copied 'cos not all here can access OVALCHAT.

118, your post has been removed.

Because, surprise surprise, the ADMIN has decided to PROTECT the theives reputation.

It is no wonder that all racers are tarred as thieves when those running the sites remove any posts that might highlight those involved in the criminal side.

Utterly disgusting, but totally unsurprising.

Looks like your post was removed Warren, along with some others.

It cartainly appears that the alleged car thief in question isn't unknown for this kind of thing.

I reckon the guy needs to watch his back. Not on forumses either............. No, I'm not threatening, but others may not threaten before hitting. Seems this lowlife has a sell by date that's coming up quickly. Hope he's erm..... sold out soon.

Just went to have a look at this ovalchat thing. Funny how every page of their forum is protected - as a guest you can't even view the forum.

Says it all really doesn't it.

I'm so glad I thought to copy and paste 118's message before it was deleted.

Glad you did too tbh, would of missed it otherwise !

Great team work chaps

And locked too.

So, clearly nothing will happen.

Here is what I tried to add, but was not IBTL...

Removing "abuse" of someone who admits to one theft and is implicated of a second smacks of the usual case of racers closing ranks and protecting those who steal other peoples property regardless of it being a classic or a 'dumped' vehicle.

Harbouring the criminal element only serves to further worsen the reputation of what is otherwise an excellent spectator sport.

This is of course not the first time that it's happened, and won't be the last sadly until there is a commited effort from the majority to permanantly ostracise the criminal minority.

Soz for a boring post #1 (which will inevitably get censored anyway), but this kind of thing really does touch a nerve.

Indeed, absolutely disgraceful. I'm so glad that Nigel got the car back without too much damage, but I fear this sort of thing will become more commonplace, all supported by a website/forum that thinks this is acceptable, or should that be 'rateable'......

Funnily enough, I bet if somebody stole one of his cars, the rozzers would on you like a hot rash and him screaming blue murder...

The police are generally useless unless you have something to lose...namely money...

TBH a couple of hundred rozzers couldn't find a 6'3" ginger doorman in a small copse in Northumberland so I think a three man stolen vehicle squad finding a stolen Datsun is most unlikely.

Fuckers, they've locked the thread now too, so I can't moan about it.

I shall expect some sort of threat of expulsion soon enough....like I give sa flying toss....

tosser deserves to have his knuckles rapped with a long metal bar

Well done!!!! I think we should all join and inundate OC with different threads about how much of a twat this man is.

who says he's even in Nortumberland?

he is not the invisible man, if 60 odd coppers in armoured 4x4s with high powered rifles and telescopic sights, and heatseeking cameras on their selection of helicopters cant find him, he's probably not there

i notice the police are now saying (BBC headlines) members of the public were threatened - starting to sound like they going to top him, and say he shot himself

on the ovalchat thing - i joined one of these banger forums when i owned a Mk2 granada, as it seemed the obvious place to get spares, but after trawling through pages and pages of textspeak and bullshit I logged out never to return

Firstly, i'm really glad you got the old girl back Nigel, and with minimal damage too. Best news i've heard all week.

secondly, although this guy on ovalchat is clearly a grade-A tosspot, we don't actually know for sure if he had anything to do with the theft, so maybe you should all hold off a while before organising some online lynching party. I'm not saying that he's not involved of course, it's just this does smack a little of those 'pedo-bashing' squads..... if there ever is any evidence against him, by all means he should be strung up by his short-and-curlies...

also i think it's worth a mention that so far this thread has totally avoided degenerating into a 'banger racers are stupid' slagfest, which is bloody admirable on everyone's part. Keep it up lads!

It's frustrating though that the racing community will ALWAYS ignore any evidence that their members are involved in criminal activity, this individual already admitted on the forum to TWOCing and racing one vehicle, which in my eyes would be enough for a LIFETIME ban from the forum and a LIFETIME ban from all race events.

Instead, he's given a pat on the back and anyone who disagrees is silenced.

Total joke.

I really enjoy watching banger racing tbh. I never knew this sort of thing went on though. I don't think this incident will stop me from taking Claim jr to a Belle Vue meeting soon though.

I know but maybe they think that if the police are involved then it's best to not talk about it on a public forum.

Or they could just be a bunch of criminal fuckwits.

Suicide by cop - run out into a crowd of heavily armed police waving a gun and even loose off a couple of rounds and you can pretty much expect to buy the farm.

I rather suspect it will end that way, he wont want to go back to prison and the police wont particularly want to non fatally wound him given what he has done. Or perhaps Im just a cynical bastard.

See to me it should be relatively easy to sort this kind of thing.

If track owners insisted on seeing the V5, chassis number and reg plates for ALL motors raced it should help a bit.

The track owners could then mark down any vehicles raced/destroyed and ensure the same registration/chassis no. and V5 were not allowed to race anywhere again via a database.

Yes, it won't stop the most determined etc but I honestly think it would work.

One other thing I'd suggest is that nobody does start making threats, veiled or otherwise, about this bloke.

It would appear from at least one post on there he's going to turn up to a couple of meetings and anyone with a problem can front him.

No biggie there, if anyone feels obliged to take him up on this offer that's their call, but if he's taken great umbrage to the allegations he MIGHT turn up mob handed and he MIGHT turn up on someone's doorstep unannounced.

That person he lands on might be an innocent party in all this as in not the one making the e-conan threats. That's all assuming it was the person this was alleged about of course.

Personally speaking if I wanted to sort this bloke out the last thing I'd do is announce it on the interwebz.

^ As ever, the Cavmeister talks much sense :)

A lad I know does track days on bikes. He was telling me that if a bike wipes out, it's photographed, including a close-up of it's chassis number, so that the damage can't be claimed on road risks insurance. This info is databased for this reason, and bike details centrally checked.

However, this also means that there are very few, if any, stolen bikes used, simply because if you do wipe out (which isn't uncommon  ) the bike details will be checked there and then, and you'll be nicked.

My point? Why can't this be used on the oval in a similar manner, but for all cars? The track day system proves it's workable.

Let's face it, the banger fraternity have a pretty shitty reputation in a lot of circles, and I would guess that a lot of it is unjustified. So why not make the effort to disprove the doubters.

Posted

How is anyone certain it was him? Is there evidence? We wouldnt want him killed when he was actually innocent.

Thanks all -truly touched.

We're pretty close to 'having him'; so I'm going quiet on this subject for a little while.

However-I do intend to try to ''talk '' to him- perhaps hope for some reason; before getting formal.

We all make mistakes-dont we..
