Who still has a timing light, and have you ever used it? That's got to be worth 10 points at least oh, and a dwell angle meter. 😁

Yes  to all and the Cortina void bush tool, pinto cambelt tools, mk2 Cavalier clutch tool plus 17 Cortina’s to use the void bush tool on, oh and the Ford void bushes. If all these are added my score will keep going up! What is the minimum score to be a giffer and what are the prizes?
Top score gets an MGB, second place a tweed jacket, third a cardigan? Maybe a flat cap or trilby?

Have you ever?

Driven on a UK motorway before the 70mph limit? 40 points. No, was only 5 at the time

Been a passenger in a car on a UK motorway before the 70mph limit? 20 points. Possibly, won't count it though.

Legally driven a car without wearing a seat belt on public roads? 25 points. Yes

Bought a brand new crossply tyre from a major fast fit centre? 15 points. No

Bought a remould tyre from a major fast fit centre? 10 points. Yes, a few

Driven home from the pub after at least five pints before the introduction of the breathaliser? 50 points. No. Afterwards, yes.

Fitted an aftermarket heated rear window. 30 points. Yes, more than one

Patch welded a car to get through its first MOT at 3 years old? 15 points. Not personally, but have got others to.

Fitted a LW/MW radio to your car and had to ponder where to mount it as that car didn't have a factory fitted blanking plate in the dash. 25 points. Yes, I sold under-dash mounts so the only pondering required was where easiest to fix and wire it.

Fitted a switch operated electric aerial. 20 points. No, not that posh.

Fitted a Selmar/Harry Moss car alarm that involved drilling a hole into a panel to fit the alarm lock. 20 points. Yes, scary!

Converted a car from dynamo to alternator. 25 points. Yes, can't remember what now though.

Owned a Mk3/4 Cortina fitted with a set of stolen early Sierra Aero wheel trims. 20 points. Was never into Fords

Fitted a sunstrip to the top of your windscreen. 15 points or 30 points if it had the names of you and your then lady. Yes, my first car, Hillman Imp Californian, and my first girlfriend. Green strip had PETE and JAN on in white letters.

Waxoiled a car. 15 points.

Fitted a set of front or rear fog lamps. 20 points. Yes to both, and spots.

Used offcuts of your living room carpet to make car mats. 20 points. Often, though as said before samples are better, as edged.

Fitted an earthing strip to your rear bumper. 10 points. No, I like the odd shock

Bought a Krook Lock. 10 points. No but borrowed* my Dad's a few times.

Swapped your points for a Sparkright electronic ignition set. 25 points. Yep, kinda had to as we sold them. Worked really well too.

Fitted a manual choke conversion kit. 25 points. No, my heaps had manual chokes already 😀

Dare you post your points tally? If I can still add up, mine is 230 - but no car coats, tartan rugs, nodding dogs or Werther's originals in my history (so far!)

85 scored. Most of them connected to a 1963 Consul (Cortina) I owned for a short while in 1978

Seatbelts…. My Fiat wasn’t fitted with them from new (‘72 car) but has some aftermarket ones fitted which, frankly, I sometimes forget to wear when driving it (!)

1 - how many points for that?

2 - am I breaking the law?

I did have a colourtune, never used it and gave it to someone on this forum.

175 and @alcyonecorporation is responsible for the dynamo to alternator conversion..

Unless dropping alternator equipped engines into originally dynamo vehicles counts.
