That's my old BMW 330.

Last I heard, it had gone to Holland.

Who has it now?

Ta again for all the organisation @catsinthewelder

Did anyone else see the old plane on the way home? I thought it was one of the Lancasters at first but neither have been flying so I'm not sure. There was a Bristol Blenheim at Southport airshow today but I can't find it flying back over Shrewsbury on Flight radar.

There was quite the variety of stuff coming over the NW, the Lancaster is currently grounded due to the BBMF Merlin engine issues though.

I suspect it could have been the Blenheim again, or possibly the Anson that lives at Sleap near the campsite.

You missed out on some of the good bits, we save them for repeat/safari customers. @mat777 came well equipped.

Land Rover did (in)famously once state, on the topic of Series 2/3 leaf springs, "the suspension is designed such that the driver will break before the vehicle does" 😅

I must inspect the BX when I'm next in Camborne. Maybe I'll go for a Kernow-style mad dash across the country in my Maestro.

When the weather is cooler.

The Southwaite BX is a rare survivor of the UK launch press fleet.  For many years, Tame Mechanic (retd) ran A373RBX, a gold 16RS.

I'd taken a new* camera with me, never used it before. Finally had the film developed. Not that successful but here we are.

The camera, if anyone is interested, is a Mamiya Press with a 6x9 back so a total of 6 shots per film. This was an expired film. The ghosting in a couple of shots is me trying not to loose the dark slide and leaving it partially in the camera.

Just got to get round to telling the wife I've bought this beauty*, it's huge

Edit: 6x9 on 120 film is 8 shots so I completely cocked up 2 shots.

How fast is the film, needs a tripod?

Nice photos!

And there was me thinking this had been bumped with people asking if they should do a 2nd year there 😂 I missed last years so I'd be fine with that...

I think it was a 1600. It's that complicated and counter intuitive to use I think it's all dowe to user error. Not used it since the above. I really just need to practice, probably with just a backing paper to start with. I was also hungover when I took the pics.

I look like a 1950s Tour de France w*nker there 🤣

Also any date ideas for the 2025 instalment?
