Those of you who enjoyed the "light entertainment" that is the Eurovision Song Contest may have noticed that famous European country, Australia, had an MR2 on stage with the band "Voyager"

So you might be asking yourself "Why?". Turns out, the lead singer has one and is madly in love with it. In fact, if you read the PR, you'll read that they brought it all the way over from Australia.

That's actually a big stinking pile of bullshit. Well, the first part is true, he does have one and it has appeared in his music videos.

But the Eurovision stage LEDs have a maximum weight of 400kg and I don't think anyone will be surprised that as light as a Mk1 MR2 is, it's not 400kg. So what happened? Well, one of the well known breakers provided the car. With no engine. Gutted seats. No dashboard. Frankly no anything. The wings and some of the panels were made of fibre glass. The thing has one mission: It rolls backwards and forwards onto a trailer.
