I saw a Vectra hearse, limo and standard saloon go past my house in a convoy to the local church. Despite the two-tone grey/black colour scheme, I still thought it was a very bland send-off.

Did see a first gen Insignia based hearse in Portmadoc a while back. Not pretty. Been thinking what I'd like to make my last journey in. Think one of those sixties Daimler 4 1/2 litre V8 Majestic Majors, if there's any left. Used to be one in the Coventry Motor Museum.

Imagine, you've been sacked from your minimum wage job in a poultry processing plant after being caught pleasuring yourself with a dead chicken. You return home early to catch your wife in a lesbian clinch with the family support caseworker. That evening you drive your daughter to her school prom. She asks you to drop her off round the corner out of sight. You finally decide life's no longer for you and your family send you off in a fitting style. We could be on to something though. Autoshite funerals. Or even Autoshite unnatural burial grounds. Surrounded by rusty Volvos, Alfas, Peugeots etc. etc. It's what he would have wanted!

I like this tradition* in the Americas where people are buried with their truck, its the 21st century version of Viking ship burials.
