How to win ebay.

1.Always pay an extra pound for enlarged pictures then only post up two.

2.Write a clear and informative description using three very short lines of text.

3.Make sure the listing ends when most people will be asleep, that'll be 3.30 am then.

4.Ensure it is a private listing so you can shill bid as soon as you wake up.

Remember that Avantime I went to see a couple of months ago?

At least they've cleaned it for the extra grand they're charging.....

This pic gives a true indication of its condition. To recap, needs a service including a cambelt. Two tyres borderline illegal, alloys scuffed to buggery, there are scratches, dings and scuffs like that on every single panel and the passenger door is cracked at the edge.

Wonder if they've even freed up the roof? Took two of us pulling on it to get it shut last time it was open.

I wonder how they got it as they're a breakers?

NO SINGS OF RUST

Come to think of it, I don't know any songs about rust either. Except maybe 'Underneath the Arches' by Flanagan & Allen.

I'll just park this here then

Excellent song! Thanks Meggersdog, that's noticeably enriched my life :D. If the Granada in the video is their daily driver* then those boys should be on here.

[irrelevant pedantry]One thing though - given that the song is about The North, it's ironic that the Grandad has Devon number plates.[/irrelevant pedantry]

Meanwhile, back on topic - if none of us would touch that Avantime with a poo-encrusted stick then probably nobody will. I fear we're looking at a photo of next year's Hotpoint.

*I don't expect it is, though.

That bunch do seem to get a few cars as well sometimes. Probably paid about £1500 for it at Inter City.

Is that another Strada next to that Samba? Why is a man with a Samba convertible and two Stradas not on here?

Sadly has been in the lock up garage for the last 12 years and hasn't been moved at all in all that time .The car was in really good condition when it was put in there .You can imagine how it is now

I love Dimma kits on 205s.

This attempt, on the other hand, looks like utter wank:

Although reading the ad, I'd be tempted to snaffle it up and return the body to stock, would probably be 'fun' to drive :|

What I love about Autoshite is that I've learnt about so many new types of vehicle that I'd never heard of, and reminds me not to forget about seemingly mundane rarities that are actually quite special - I think this one comfortably falls into the latter category. The 4wd Suzuki Swift Saloon:

Basically this car has never had a job

Typical, bloody foreigner! So this where my tax has been going, eh?

Look, there's a whole barn full of them! I bet they're all on the f**king scrounge, sodding immigrants!

not perfect if you want perfect you will need another 5000 + ponds

Shit, really? I'd best hire a mini-digger for that I suppose - the garden will need extending a bit. Do they all need to have fish in them?

This looks as rough as a camels tit hole. The guys gone to great pains to show the floors looks solid. Nice 1 M8 have you seen the rest of the car?

The S1 XJ is my favourite Jag of all time I recon. This one's totally shagged but I'd still like to put it my garden and plant daffodils in it's rust holes.

The car is complete and appears to be reasonably solid although there is corrosion to the bodywork in the usual places, the full extent of which I have not investigated.

My Granddad had one of those in that colour, and I always remember how comfy the seats were. Since it was a typical drive to the shops once a week sort of car, I wonder if it's still going?
