I passed it on the M4 near Bridgend around Christmas time. Looked pretty sound and was more than keeping up with the traffic.

OMG, That Ital has "ME" written all over it!! I had one as my first ever car. much derided but up to 40+ mpg on a very careful run and I had an indicated 100mph out of it with much bouncy valveness. You can also fit a type 9 5 speed to them, many A series tuning bits are available, plus telescopic shock conversion for the front

20 around town, 28 on the autoroutes! Or... 7 if you really like listening to it growl!

 

That engine is THE one to go for, probably because Renault had very little to do with it's design! It's chain driven and pretty much bulletproof. It's be a hoot of a stop gap - and I'll catch a flight over for it once you're done

Haha, it's like someone ran up the arse of a proper f40 and shunted the wheels forward 10", then rather than sort it out proper, someone just moved the arches to make up for it.
