I dont think tha'tll get a welded diff and all the rest of it. It is the fuggin bollocks though (and probably unique), I might well have a dabble if the price stays 'reasonable'.

Now this is tempting, I nearly bought this 18 months ago when it was a non runner, covered in algae in someone's back garden. It needed a fair amount of bodywork (including a new back door) and the bloke wanted too much for it, so I walked away. Amazingly up until last year it had lived in the same road all its life, a couple of minutes from my place. Now it's on Ebay in Surrey, rubbish description but looking at the pictures I took at the time I think it's had a full respray and loads of bodywork, plus lots of tidying under the bonnet and inside the car with a set of new carpets. If it stays at £1500 it would be a nice addition to the 'fleet' I reckon.

A can't lose* business opportunity, Barrett where are you?

Unsurprisingly, you are not the first person to point this out to me! Already tentative plans for the BMC (Barrett Motor Company - may have to change that) are being hatched. You can expect quite literally 7 of those to roll out of the 'factory' next year before we are declared bankrupt after a costly lawsuit arising from a faulty suspension design....

These things are mega fugly, but someone recently had the bright idea to combine the back end of this with a normal Mini front end and sell the lot as a kit. Tt looks miles better, though none have actually been built (or even sold?) yet so it might be a while before we get to admire the results

Save this from the angle grinding/diff welding brigade...

I remember that being up for sale in Colchester about 3 years ago, the original owner was selling it at the time.

That must have been sat in that yard since then, the seller is that same guy who was selling that slammed Cortina Mk3 estate, this was in the back ground.

Yep, I went to see it when it was for sale in Colchester. It was a nice enough thing, but the owner wanted way more for it than I was prepared to pay given the amount of recommissioning it needed.

You should 'do a Tony Crook' here, Barrett. Knock a few up then refuse to sell them to people because they had the wrong coloured trousers or didn't live on a council estate.

Don't forget to announce ambitious plans for a follow up model to challenge the Porsche 911 shortly before you fold

Yoiks! That 2CV based Manx is just down the road. Ideal winter transport, what with the lack of doors, roof etc... slightly concerned that he says he's pulled out the wiring room, but made no mention of whether one is fitted now...

Bung scary a few quid and ask hime very nicely to go and rattle it around a bit and if it's fit get it shitley'd down the road.
