Don't be a wuss, rent a trailer and go buy the bloody thing if you want it.Sheesh. The road trip to collect a car is quite often more fun than owning the bloody thing.

500 notes for the minor, 200 odd for collecting it, it all adds up. Seems a bit much for a scrappaged minor. Then id have to find a "resto project" and combine the two.How much would it be worth if it hadnt been scrappaged?Yes I am a wuss, but im a poor wuss too! That said, im gonna ring my dad tonight, just in case.

John Wayne's understated Pontiac

The Duke came to see Barris with this wagon in 1971 He wanted to Modify this Pontiac which featured its 360 horse 455 V-8. He loved driving this wagon and even refered to it as his Stage Coach and No one would think to look for him driving such a car, so he could comfortably go about his life without being noticed in public.

If all goes well, I'll be taking a look at this within the next couple days...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0455404345Can see it fetching EPIC COIN though.

Why epic coin? I thought the 320i was quite undesirable. Admittedly sounds in decent condition and nice history but it's not low on the mileage stakes and despite it being an Mtec kit the sill extensions look a bit wrong, although that could be due to poor wheels.

well there's a bloke breaking a crashed one on eBay, maybe ask if you can buy the I'd. Gotta be worth more than £500, it must have been taxed and moted to be scrappaged. If I wasn't buying a house as I'd have it. The mrs caught me looking and she was soooo pissed I was even looking :? Plus I'm already bidding on other shite I can't afford or find space for.... But shhhh

You have a point, but a 2 owner example with FSH wont go for pennies IMO. Also I just got sent some photo's by email and the skuttle panel is minty-fresh which is a rare thing on these.

500 update....

''This car is known as the Neckar Weinsberg''

''to be precise, it's a Limousette version, 2nd series (1960 type) with 499,5 cc engine.

Weinsberg is the name of the coachbuilder wich made it for NSU-Fiat.''

so -5/10 for the French bloke for getting both make AND model wrong!

Thanks to the kind folks/nerds (especially to special-bodied Fiat expert Alessandro Sannia) at autopuzzles.com for clearing that one up!

I mailed him last year asking if it ever rained in Faringdon. 'Not since 1972' was his reply. Think he's got his reserve too high on the 304 Cabrio, can't see even the best one (and I question whether his is) reaching £8k.

Back to the old Fiat again, a Dutch Fiat site have this pic and call it a Neckar 500 from 1961.

Gotta be honest it looks fuggin pap to me, an ordinary 500 is much more appealing. its got mega obscurity points though and I could probably get it home in the back of the P100.

A very early Peugeot 305, an ex UK car by the looks of the numberplate?!

Not quite, PHOTO NON CONTRACTUELLE MAIS IDENTIQUE translates to PHOTO CONTRACT BUT NOT IDENTICAL so it's just a library photo, Which is a shame.
