All the action cars I've worked with in the UK which are dolled up as police vehicles mostly just put a vinyl fitted cover over the lights and large crosses of black tape over the POLICE signs and I don't think they have any problems driving them on the road as such. One reason may be that they limit their use to driving to/from set only and probably notify the local authorities, or perhaps it's just the fact that most are either hilariously outdated models the police stopped using years ago, or modern version they've never used anyway - Kia C'eed estate police car, anyone?

1 owner from new, 45K, FSH 15 stamps in book, MOT September 2012 no advisorys,

Drives like brand new, Just had 4 new tyres, The interior is unmarked just needs a good clean

The body is a little rough around the edges. No major rust, however where it has gone in places the previous owner has tried to touch it up and made it look worse. There is a bad dent on the rear nearside corner as shown in pic.

The gearbox makes a slight wearing sound in first and second gear, this does not affect how the car drives or changes gear at all. Not sure whats wrong with it. You can pick boxes up for nothing for these k-series engines.

No overheating problems whatsoever!

It would be a massive shame to scrap this car. It has almost 12 months mot, new tyres and a new exhaust. There is many more miles left under its belt

The price is £170 no offers or £240 with 6 months road tax

is that a leaf blower mounted to the air box

There is indeed a leaf blower force feeding the throbbing 999cc's of Italian fury much to the amusement of the assembled crowd. With any luck there will be more in this months PPC magazine ;)

Sorry Freddie, i missed that!, No sadly it's still here, they turned up, spend a hour here looking at it, test drove it, decided they loved it but his 18 year old son couldn't afford the £1800 insurance bill, and he moaned about it being resprayed at some point (it's nearly 40 years old) and not being serviced between 1986 and 1991 where it only done 2800 miles... , Some people really don't understand old cars do they.

I have the original service book that's filled in from 1972 to 1992 (0 to 36182 miles), I can't see what the problem is myself but most people who drive modern cars seen to treat their service book as some kind of bible.

Some also want the moon on a stick. Sounds like they need to pay dealers prices for 100% historied cars. Did you direct them to afordable classics  Joking aside I am glad they did not buy it as I bet it would have become Euro look or lowered

The bible is full of fabrication so are some histories so cars should be judged as they stand.

I did wonder, the dad owned a Westfield which he raced and they did say they wanted a Kadett after seeing one recently at the Nurburgring Ring which at be modified to 200 bhp which was one of the reasons they wanted one...

The bible is full of fabrication......

Whew, I'm glad you cleared that up. I was thinking Jonah really was inside of a great whale. I had never thought of it as a parable. Damned valuable banter here. Learn something new and mind-opening every day.

Please convey that information to the rest of your nation A.S.A.P. should work wonders for world peace too - plus it might mean I don't have to suffer the local imbeciles here in Florida with jokes that start with

the opening line "did you hear the one about the atheist...."

Ironic thing about the jokes these religious numbskulls tell is that they are usually too fucking "stoopid" to realise the joke is actually on them

There is probably just as much fantasy and faith contained within most car service histories too

'...HAS TO BE SEEN,COLLECTORS'

Oh aye, I can just see the curator of the Ford Transit Mk3 museum literally rushing his way down by private jet to ensure this 'collector's piece' is saved. It's heading for the 'bargains' thread too at £1,650 reserve not met.

Nice enough thing and will probably a) last for a good few years yet and B) be seventeen cajillion times more reliable than the new shaped ones, but a collector's thing? No chance, not for years yet.

'would make ideal wedding car'

Ideal for someone who wants to save all that messing about living with their wife before getting divorced I'd imagine. Any self respecting bint would cancel the wedding the moment the drivers turned up to take her to the registry office.

With that huge rear quarterlight window, that Senator limo has something of a Bristol about it. This is NOT a good thing.

I had a Carlton Eagle Limo for a bit. 2.0 auto which slipped but was excellent for taking mates to the pub!

I reckon that'll be a hoot to drive in a straight line.

WOULD (but not for £1200).

It depends on the type of collector - it might interest the type that trickle around housing estates in 1st gear.
