With a towbar too - GR9 for A-framin'.

If only the

very talented man in blackburn
had put a two-tone brown Silver Shadow II body on it, I'd have been right there...

Irish plate lets it down. Wonder if that's 'cause it's a Mitsubishi on the V5.

Wow!

Ok, the guy is talking loads of shite about it being a 'genuine convertible from new', 'one of only a handful ever made', and 'an A35'. It's a chop top A30 saloon and there was only ever one A30 convertible prototype made and it's in Gaydon. BUT this is such a cute little car I love it! If the price stays reasonable I might even have a punt, it would be GR8 4 THE SUMMER 8)

I talked to the guy who has/had this at Goodwood a few years ago, as he has a 1966 Land Rover Dormobile which was on display. Back then it didn't have all the crap stuck to it. I don't have the pics here on my laptop, they are at home on the PC still. He had it there on a trailer, but it stayed in the competitor/exhibitor's campsite where I took the pics of it. He collected it whilst he was down at Goodwood as it was nearby, and was just taking it back home after the weekend IIRC.

Tell you what though I reckon you could run that MitsusilverCloudobishi on cherry and never get tugged for it.

Meanwhile back at the ranch...

We have to move - our daughter will need ground floor accommodation as she gets bigger and we've not got space to extend where we are. Dragging two old cars and a load of spares with me isn't helping the moving process. If the last six years are anything to go by the 16 still won't be getting the attention it needs. I did a bit more work on it last summer Wuvz, but now circumstances have caught up with me and it's got to go - but it's a wrench.

The R30 is staying!

Listing ended early - what happened? Did you sell it?

A nice chap (with time on his hands now he's finished restoring his 1958 Standard) came and saw it and liked it, so he's having it.

This is exactly the reason why I no longer have a garage, and why tomorrow I shall be off to Homebase to buy one of these to keep the lawnmower and bouncy castle in. Its also the reason why my back garden is only half the size it used to be. And why the wife keeps telling me NO when I suggest various tat to replace the car with.

Beleive it or not this car is a 2005 Mitsubishi 4x4 with a quiet 2.8 diesel engine (amazing drive in snow and ice) she looks identical to a 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 3 and is an ultimate Every day useable classy classic car. will never date and will never go down in value. She started life as a Mitsubishi L200 2005

Rather lovely looking Nova saloon in the spares section. Glad the scrappy has had the sense to try and sell it in one piece - hope his reserve isn't too unrealistic.
