don't think ive ever seen them on a Y plate before.

Nearly bought a silver one with red interior on an A plate a few years ago though.

There was a Y-reg one raced, rallied and rolled (at Knockhill!) in the 90s in Scotland.

1982 Mitsubishi Colt Sapporo Turbo

Bit of a project this one but what a cool looking car, Can't remember this version of them.

This post on capri power about the Mk1:

I contacted the seller yesterday, it is a scrappage car, he wants 2 grand the lot but the shell has to stay there, oh, and the bonnet and bootlid are sold, the interior might be sold and he's looking at £35 an hour to take the bits off it, good luck

Maybe we should move it to ebay bargains?Apparently a one owner from new car as well. Obviously some giffer has been railroaded into the scrappage option to get a new car. FFS its worth more as a trade in than scrappage. Oh well.

1982 Peugeot 104 SR

^If it stays at that level, I may chuck a bid in. We shall see.....

I cant believe some scrote put that Capri in for the cuntage scheme.....I'm fucking staggered....it looks lovely...... :?What the hell is the world coming to....?

Exactly. surely its worth 2 grand of anyones money?Shame he didnt try and sell it before crappage scheming it.then again, maybe he did and no one wanted it. Still a shocking waste, its a historic car and should be exempt from the crappage scheme in my eyes.

If it stays at that level I shall be very depressed - it's in better nick than mine and has more tax.

But knowing my luck, the fact Im possibly interested will make the bidders go mad.....

You want to keep an eye on the forum at www.bxclub.co.uk then. Tim regularly has BXs for sale and he was struggling to shift this one (so it ended up on the dreaded Ebay!).

That Alfa is DA BOMB.Seems cheap though, wonder what's wrong with it?

You must be made of solid stuff Fred! That camper van looks like a more hardcore driving experience, than I could handle.

Posted

It's based on a Mk1 transit, and I am told the 6 pot diesel it has is a blinding engine.

Posted

What engine does the A series van have normally? I thought it would be a York motor.

Posted

Surely it should have an A-series engine? maybe a 1275 A+ if you're lucky. Mini 850 transverse job if you're unlucky.

Wow, must be one of the last with the old XY suitcase engine - the change to the TU was in '88.

No reserve on that 130... I think there's some decent money to be made stripping it for parts if it stays cheap. At sub-500 quid (or thereabouts), you'd make your money back just selling the Carello headlamps...
