as it was being driven up on the ramps of the trailer it cut out, i thought it had just stalled however the recovery driver told me not to try starting it again just incase the cambelt had snapped so shocked and gutted we pushed back onto my drive, took the cambelt cover off and there was no cambelt to be seen obviously either slipped off or has snapped and fell down where i could not see it.

so i have gave up on it my 3 year project is over

Fuggin nora, that hardly sounds like the end of the world, why not at least try to put the cambelt back on? Almost tempted to offer to go round the lads house and try to put it back on for him as he sounds a bit clueless.

Holy cow!!! Not cheap, but how unutterably 8) is this?

If I had a spare eight bags I'd be all over this like a rash. Mind you I do have a bit of a Saab fetish.

I think its a Henson or Henson M30. Another ford based monster kit car.

Rarer than most ferarri's though. think the only ever built 30 odd.

In the spirit of that other thread with plastic boxy Ford based kitcars, here's a lovely Rickman Ranger.

!B6Qvw2!Bmk~$(KGrHqQOKjgEyPCBQWGYBMwzthPLSg~~_12.JPG

He's also got a soft top, in case the hard top isn't draughty enough

And this Hillman Hunter based Ginetta Tora (yes, it's supposed to sound like Tourer)

Q: Hi there. I notice that the back end of the car is very low...this is just how our first Metro Clubman was because of problems with the hydragas system at the rear. When was the system last overhauled, please? Sometimes the displacer units fail and sometimes the valves fail and the high pressure pipes can fail also!! Thankyou. 27-Oct-10

A: JUST THE WAY MY PHONE TOOK PIC I DONT KNOW U R WELCOME TO COME AND VIEW IT

fuck off!!!! The rear suspension is obviously flat FFS!!! If you cant see that you must not have any fuggin eyes, and even then you would tell when it drove like shit.

How odd. It's just been relisted with a couple of new pictures showing the rear suspension pumped up :?

A new cambelt would probably see that running fine again, its a pinto in that isnt it? Tough as old boots, and anyway how much is a 2nd hand head?

Do 2 litre pintos mash valves when the belt snaps? Im unsure...

Not normally, no. I've fitted belts to a fair few that have suffered from belt snappage and so far I've not had one that didn't run fine.

the carbed 2 litre pinto was a non-interference engine

but is the modified head injection motor still a 'no valve bender'???
