Adverts a month old, so maybe a repost or sold ...

Short MOT, no mention of tax .... £750

... tempting, but I'd need to shift 3 cars to make space for that

That belongs to shite master general, wuvvum on here. I think he's just sold it.

Were these a bit like an up-market Crown Vic?

Is that a retarded question?

That's the Lincoln Town Car you're thinking of.

The LS is based on the same platform as the Jag S-type.

I hope that's only the transverse ones

NW and EW 1098cc A series share the same crankshaft problems, but never had a problem with any of mine. AFAIK it's only if you really mistreat them. ;)

Isn't it about time someone started a new thread here?

At over 1500 pages it's a bit weighty!

Anyone know how to correct the notifications? Mine keep taking me back 20 odd pages to around 1480 rather than 1504. :(

Oh look, that's original: a slammed VW with a roof rack.

Never seen that before...

Posted

Isn't everything a little overdone though? There's plenty of standard ones. They get yawnsome too.....

That's a particularly well sorted example though with a 2.0 injected boxer from a Subaru and properly done suspension, not just chopped and welded.

As far as low old VWs with roofracks come, that's up in the top 0.0001% for being an actually sorted vehicle. As pillock says, the boat anchor VW engine is gone, and it's lowered in a way which allows it to be driven safely on the public roads which puts it head and shoulders above most.

On the face of things, the price is a bit salty but when compared to what other splitscreen vans you can get for that money, it's quite competitive. The fact that it's apparently unrestored makes a massive difference - some moron hasn't already been chopping away at it tack welding sills on and letting the whole thing go wonky etc.

I'd agree, a new thread is needed. The notification thing is a right pain.

Music thread I follow is chopped every 1400 pages to stop "database overload" so I think we may be overdue...

The 'boat anchor' VW weighs in at an incredibly hefty, spring snapping, 90kg.

I suppose I used the wrong term here! They might not be too heavy, but they are rubbish!

If this is the end of eBay tat volume 2 I'd like to thank Trig for starting this thread.

Where is Trigger anyhow?

Not 100% sure why a new thread has been started (there has been no OMG TEKNIKAL FAYLYOUR which led to the demise of the old one) but am not one to stand in the way of progress. I was looking forward to somone listing a P1800 on P1800 though.

However someone can now link to a Renault 4 on page 4, Renault 5 on page 5, Wolesley six on page 6 etc and will get The Fast Show award for most repeated joke.

Here i am!, I just posted in the new thread without even noticing we started one!, Oh well, I guess 1505 pages is quite a lot!

If somebody does a search for a car they posted about a month previously, the search results are all out of sync with reality so you still have to scroll through a month's ebay tat to find what you were looking for. TEKNIKAL FAYLOUR indeed.:lol:

EBAY tat volume 2 may you rest in peace. You have given us many LOLZ and thousands of spectacular shiteheaps and dumbass mouthbreather sellers that have brought great joy to mankind. You have lived a full life of over 1500 pages, we thought you would go on for many more but sadly it was not to be for some reason. Now the mantle of comedy shite publiciser has been passed to your fit younger sister who we will all have a dabble with at the very least, many of us will no doubt get heavily involved with her while others look wistfully on and play pocket billiards.

AMEN

 I wonder if they will fire me if I print the whole thread tomorrow. Goodbye ET vol.2!

I really wish you hadn't planted that idea in my head. Tomorrow is my last day before holidays. This could conceivably consume my entire day tomorrow.
