Excuse my ignorance of the place but is Ballycastle in Ireland or the UK (Northern Ireland)? I wondered if it was the former they have a different DVLA thing?

well you know what they say ignorance is bliss :lol: i just assumed that it would be on the uk doovla system as the starlet i bought from ireland was,

Ballycastle is a small rural seaside town placed on the most north-easterly tip of county Antrim, Northern Ireland

Safrane RXE V6 Auto. Looks ace for the money. £540!!!

# PART EX POSS # MOT NOV 2012 TAX NOV 2012(tax is worth nearly £200)

NO FAULTS AT ALL WITH THIS CAR

this is a once in a lifetime chance to own a car with a recorded 24000 miles which is fully loaded for little money - it benefits from remote locking/air-con-4x electric windows/mirrors/heated seats/climate control/power steering/alarm/voice commands/over drive auto box this car really needs to be driven to be appriciated the drive is so smooth and the seats are like arm chairs very very comfy

this car was owned my an elderly gent from 1997 the service history is rediculous it was serviced from1993 at 5483/6540/8691/10035/12994/14244/then to much more to list but basicly 8 pages from the same garage with 5 items per page the oil is clear (obviously) and the engine is quiet the only bad is a few scuffs and indicator needs replacing £19.99 on ebay new

Christ that must have been for sale for two years now. I bet its got flat tyres and moss growing out of its window seals.

Posted

You think they would have got the hint by now that it ain't going to fetch £990, as it has been that price everytime it has appeared

Posted

I've offered him £180, twice for that -as I've most of the parts needed to sort. Just blanked me -sadly.

Posted

So you would miss out on all those parts Nigel for £20? Or was there a reserve?

Posted

No. Its a lot worse than he's letting on, he's under substantive pressure from the Council for a clearout, £180 was the second asking price (£160 was the first -both met).

Posted

Ah right, I see - so he is just being a plum then!

Dunno about you guys but I rekon these early Clio mk1s are a sharp lookin' motor. They were total meh in their day but compaired to modern flabby chod I quite like them now;

I agree, I love mine, can't see why the hell anyone would go and spend £9k on a 107/C1/Aygo. That auto with the fooked gasket is a winner... a French explosion of blue on the dash.

The automatic tiptronic gearbox has developed a fault and lost its fluid which has activated an electronics shut down and the car stopped and will not start again.

oh dear!

In theory at least that should be cure leak, re-fill with ATF, re-set fault code and turn key to re-start. In practice it will be take out second mortgage or sell wife and daughters into white slave trade to finance and still end up scrapping because it wont go.

Salty but a sodding nice car in what must be fairly rare mingebag/sales rep spec:

Plenty of Doctor-ish twattery in his ramblings though including:

'I didn’t realise there was anywhere 100 miles North of Aberdeen!'

So that's Tayne off your customer base!

My dad bought a 1990 G Cav 2.0i L brand new in 1990 in that colour*. (G806NAK) That is a serious memory fest there.

*it was utter shit and kept breaking and he got rid of it after 2 years. A favva_tone record short ownership by a few years.

Edit: I've only gone and found a picture!

That Beemer ad is hilarious! Or maybe the car is just shy? I cannot for the life of me work out why you'd drive a car out of a garage, then take a photo from inside the garage.

Trailer tent FTW!!! And a cool looking one too.

Posted

That trailer tent is ace! Kate's got a major caravan want at the minute, and I no longer have the "nothing to tow it" excuse since I got the Jaaaag. Might try a good trailer tent first in the hopes of putting her off, erm, I mean, to see how we get on. :D

Ultra shite Honda Accord. T+T 'til May, and a brutally honest ad...

Honda Accord

Taxed and MOT'd to May 2012

Starts and drives as it should.

Half a tank of petrol in it.

Mileage...its been to the moon and back.

I am selling it as spares or repairs as I took it as a trade - in and know nothing about it.

Need it gone asap

Collection from Fife

Can't say fairer than that!

GR0.0003 fottoskilllzez for a Rangie, which either needs a new battery or a new engine, depending how you read the ad. Just add trailer tent.

Meanwhile, away from the wilds of the inland bit of The KIngdom, our Renault-altering friend from sunny* Burntisland's been at it again;

$(KGrHqRHJBIE7)0fnHpuBPCWuVUqoQ~~60_12.JPG

R9 Broadway Diesel £995 BIN.

A short and perfectly safe* swim over the Forth, brings us to this rare beastie;

$(KGrHqR,!osE63YP0)2GBO-GtYQHeQ~~60_12.JPG

VR5 Pasta. Another SOR, 'cos there's a few lights showing on the dashboard.

Skoda Fellatio, which is either a bloody brilliant car, or a fucking awful one. Delete as applicable. Either way, this just needs a sill (supplied) and a wing (supplied) and alloys (not supplied, buy them separately...) to pass its' MOT. Eh? Why didn't you just fit them, if it's such a great car? Hmmm...

That's only about 20 miles from my tat museum facility. Go and fetch it and have a free holiday on me! (on a fuggin building site :roll: )
