Flat4
Trailer board hasn't been needed - all lights work! Spare tyre was tho....both brake drum and tyre got a bit warm....I am jinxed when it comes to brakes, it seems!
Flat4
New toy is home safely now and I am really rather chuffed with it Not without it's fair share of calamities, as always seems to happen whenever I attach anything to the back of the Fozzie....such as going down to an MOT station to use their airline to blow up the original tyres, as the one at the petrol station next door was too short to reach the van wheels from where I could safely park 40ft of rig. This meant having to negotiate a tight bend with a thick metal pillar on one side and a fence on the other....it doesn't look as tight as it was from the pics, but I was sweating! ย I am very glad this outfit is as manouvreable as it is! The caravan itself is a 1999 Abbey Vogue GTS 517 (I think that's the right order of names!), 5 berth with L-shaped front lounge, very spaciousย and was too good a deal not to take a chance on. The most modern caravan I've ever owned! It's been very well looked after and has come with a whole folder of history, instructions, etc. I have NEVER had that before when buying a caravan! Alas, as we're at the AS end of the market, it does need some work - new kitchen, some extra electric sockets, replace some lights, missing the cassette for the loo?? and the biggest issue is a delaminated floor in places. Some one has had a go at fixing it the wrong way from underneath the van and clearly made an arse of it, then given up refurbing the rest of it.ย Fortunately the rest is absolutely solid, no damp any where, blinds on all windows, no body work damage (touch wood!),ย built in stabilizer hitch, really smooth running gear and half decent brakes. I will add shock absorbers in due course, after feeling how good they are on the Hobby. Looking forward to getting stuck in! taxi paul, Blake's Den, timolloyd and 9 others
AnnoyingPentium
My Gran and Grampa used to have an Abbey Vogue. Spent many a holiday in Stranraerย with it. Good purchase, IMO. Flat4

big_al_granvia
Proof my wife is a sandwich short of a picnic. The shell is solid but a lot of wiring has been snipped, fortunately there is enough to employ creative fixes. Nothing we haven't done before. Getting fast at changing caravan wheels, must be the practice we get
