This definitely needs more paint/underseal removing and generally more cleanliness of the metal for welding. Whilst it's possible to do this as a butt-joint, it would be better done as a small (5mm maybe) overlap. Also, can the carpet be lifted to get to the inside of this?

So we could start at 9? Or give it a miss this week and resume as normal next week. This will be the case every second Tuesday of the month from here on in, just for notice.

(if its not thats perfectly fine just curious so I know if I need to get ready or not for it )
