I cannot wait to see this in person! Swiss World meeting in the summer sir?

That's excellent.  And possibly terrifying!

Has it been on the road since SF17?

Sadly not, Max.  Hence man-maths and self-administered KITA.

I found the (slightly desiccated) mouse earlier, while I was having another go at the garage...

OK.

Transport is booked with our own fair @worldofcerifor Tuesday next.  This gives me two weekends to clear and prep the car.  Naturally, it is currently snowing...

Dyane, Dyane, Dyane!!!

Getting there.

A couple of hours in & around the garage this afternoon, and the Dyane is now clear of crap.  I hadn't realised quite how twisted the front door was until I tried one of the spares. Perfect fit, so it's staying.

Hmmm... this means paint. The inevitable 'mission creep' has started.  Or not... 😉

Nah...  no need for paint. The best cars have character.

That looks ace! I'd truly love a Dyane. Do let me know if you hear of a cheap one on your travels, project or otherwise!

Not going to Hereford until the end of the month now - Pete needs to work through a bit of a backlog, including a BX GTi 16v rebuild.  This is fine; there are plenty of little jobs I can be getting on with.

So Tony 'bonkers idea' Blair has taken up car restoration after his failed adventures in the Middle East? I'd be careful what he tells you...

Yes, the very next day it attended a 2CV registers day near Ruby.

I know because I was there, but being made of softer stuff instead of taking my very nice 2CV I elected to let them down and turn up in my high speed luxury Visa 17RD. All because I could not stomach the dash from Lincolnshire and was then shamed by the Dyane!

I'd forgotten about that!

I'm with the 'Do Not Paint' crew. Just looks like most Dyanes from my yoof!

I agree with others in the 'do not paint'. Then you could win the 'mismatched panel colour' thread. A grade one winnah in shiteland.
