Going for a walk when the weather is OK seems to help too.

No offence like but could you try that a bit more often?

Cavette you are a very, very offensive person and I feel you should be put on moderation. May I point out something called cyber bullying, which actually is a recognised crime with the Police, and if you do not cease this immediately, I may have to take matters much further via my solicitor.

Ahh.....non normality returns

Getting seriously naffed off with the bloke on eBay who lists a set of Cavalier seats for 28 days, then deletes the listing when I offer £65.00... Then relists at £9.99 and then I go to put a bid in and he's ended the fuckers... I mean, what is the chuffing point?

Toys being thrown out of pram much!?

£65 for Cavalier seats? Which model are they out of?

They're recaro style seats from a Cavalier.

They were advertised at £99.99 and I offered £65.00 cheekily as it's the most I could stretch to... Got declined. Offered £70.00 and got a message back telling me that they're up at £99.99 for a reason.

They get relisted at £9.99 and I watched them and was about to place a bid in the final 12 hours when there were no other bids and he's gone and ended them. So much for snapping up a bargain. It's going to end one of two ways; Think White 405 or it'll be "If nobody pays what I ask, I'll scrap them".

Why can't people just accept a genuine offer of genuine cash!?

Would one of these daylight lamps help maybe?

One of my friends gets really down during the winter and has invested in a couple of these rather inappropriately named 'SAD lamps', she says they help quite a bit.

+1. I got one for my ex, she still uses it and says it really helps.

I just curled out an olympic-sized lol at this. Would love to be a fly on the wall at that meeting with your solicitor. I am picturing him being buzzed by his secretary "Mr. F Magic is here to see you, sir" and his face just dropping at the thought of the 45 minute teeth-pulling session he's about to endure. He's played by Leonard Rossiter btw.

Of course, you could just be joking in which case you still elicited a gen-u-ine laugh so good shout, sir

Happy pills don't seem to work for me...

On Fluoxetine and Trazadone currently. I'd have a big long rant about it but... Meh.

I think it was Sertraline (or something like that) that I was on twice. Worked for me and found them easy to get off afterwards, too.

I know its a long shot and perhaps i'm just out of touch with reality but maybe he actually wants £100 for them and £65 or £70 is just not enough? You making a 'cheeky offer' of 'the most you can afford' then whining on here and complaining about toys being thrown out of prams when he doesnt accept it? Sharpen up man FFS, you sounds like that "kevin the teenager' character that Harry Enfield used to do. OMG ITS SO UNFAIR!

Hey Felly! Are you by any chance aware of the crime of 'spamming' which is also (probably) a 'recognised crime with the police'?

Saw a laser cutter better than the one I'm after for sale, emailed straight away, it was down as being in Edinburgh so roughly a 9 hour round trip but saving about £4500 on a new one so worth it....

Seller replies "Oh it's in Shetland, is that a problem?".

According to Google maps the best part of a 48 hour jaunt and god knows how much over the £350 it quotes in fuel, arse.

It's about £400 return on the ferry too, I've been there three times in the past month for work. I don't think I'll be back until at least Jan/Feb though. What sort of size is this thing? If it will fit in a Transit in a way that still lets me get at my stuff I can get it to Fife the next time I'm going up.

Austin A55 by graham.l.edwards, on Flickr

Saw this in the abandoned thread on Retrorides, exactly the same model as the one I'm restoring, with the solid doors and front wings I need, plus the front and rear screens, towbar and potentially loads of other bits (seats and doorcards if they're any good, bonnet maybe).

Emailed the guy who posted the pictures up asking for the location of the scrapyard and he sent this reponse back today:

'Hi Richard

Sorry but they will not sell anything of the car as the yards owners are going to banger race it - its a shame as it didnt look too bad from the quick look I had.

Graham'.

Annoying as it looks much better than the car I'm restoring. If anyone knows of a 'long boot' A55 MK1 Cambridge breaking, please let me know.

You guys will be SORRY next time you want to acquire an old Rover 800 and need some expert Honest John style advice. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot...

Time I posted this again. Just complete and hand in at your local Police station and Cavette will be in prison with the nonces before you know it.

Anyway. Today's grump, apart from lack of money, smokes and general lack of job is that I've decided to launch my angle grinder into the side of my hand while it was still running. Wouldn't be that bad but it had on one of those lethal heavy gauge wire brush attachments on it that cheerfully chomped through my gloves and did similar to the skin between the thumb and forefinger on my left hand.

It hurts. It hurts a lot.

(By the way, sorry to the easily offended for the multiple posts but I keep thinking of things to say. It isn't meant to antagonise. I'm just scatterbrained, that's all!)

Did he not give you the name of the yard anyway? Surely if you offer the chap your doors and wings in exchange he will sell you the good ones? Worth chasing up I reckon

Definately have a problem with my mood through the winter. I go into 'get you home mode'. Can't be productive at work usually if I quit a job it's November time. I have to fight with myself to do anything, like go to a shop or wash the pots. I would hibernate if I could. Also meds are okay but I'd rather not. Any way Cavette stop bullying people and Felly solicitors are expensive. Oh yea and doc says I have shingles. Humph.

My housemate's Bible study group are downstairs sharing my orange juice amongst themselves, how Christian.

Piss in it. It's what Jesus would have wanted.

I have generally found that the more serious a Christian takes their religion, the less they behave in a 'Christian' manner.
