Lol @ Joey Deacon!

Liverpool Speke airport is now called 'John Lennon Airport'. Everyone still calls it Speke airport though, I can't recall anyone ever say JLA. Not like Liverpool is hanging onto long gone past glories or anything.

Here, bloody here.

Agree with the points made about George Best.Even though I am far from a football fan, I can perhaps see how he was once a great player.BUT how anyone who showed a total lack of respect and a total disregard for the life of the unfortunate person who donated their organs to him, as a result of their demise, is honoured by having an airport named after them is beyond me.

Shit Station, sorry to hear that mate. I hope it resolves itself to the best possible outcome but theres plenty of us on here ready to dole out a cliche or two if you want to vent stuff. My Doctor made me grumpy today, or rather the receptionist:Me - Hello, just a quick call on my urgent prescription I ordered last week and needed Friday. I havent eaten all weekend and I wondered if its ready yet?Receptionist - Nah, aint signed yet. Might be done laterMe - Might? So can I collect it later then?Rec - If ya like, cant be sure if it'll be readyMe - It is urgent, cant you ask the doctor to ensure its signed? I did request it last Thursday on your urgent 24hour emergency service?Rec - Well, fink what you want Its here, it aint signed, so you cant 'ave it. Bye. (click)Turns out it was signed. Went to Pharmacist "Oh, we dont have that, we will have to order it, probably have it by Thursday/Friday maybe. You should have ordered it on the emergency 24 hour turnaround service, if you had done that Thursday, we would have had it in by Saturday so make sure you do it properly next time"Brilliant! I do everything right, and get condescending treatment for doing so. I am sure its exposure to scum that turns these people into the unsympathetic mean condescending drones that they are.Arsecakes......

Hey Wuvvum, have you sold your 104? Its very nice indeed. But I can't have it  .

It's still sat outside as I write this, but I have two interested parties on RR so I'm hopeful it'll go soon. Why can't you have it?

Sorry to hear that. Is there anyone here with a solid relationship? There's far too much seperation going on here for my liking!

You know what, every time I start thinking to myself that maybe I should find myself a nice bird and settle down a bit, somebody I know has major woman problems and puts me right off again. I'll probably end up staying single my whole life at this rate. Which might not necessarily be a bad thing.

This is exactly how I feel. Two recent examples:1. Mate asked me round for a drink the other night, his missus was in a major moody with him and kicked me out because they 'needed to talk'. God I felt sorry for him!2. Met a lovely girl a couple of months ago, through friends. We went out, had a few cocktails and she dragged me to a club. Had a few snogs and parted on great terms at the end of the night. Fair play I thought, not all girls will put out on the first night you meet. Two days later I find out she is engaged, and now there are a few people who want me dead. HOW IS THIS MY FAULT?!!!In other news, I took a group of the students I'm teaching round town today to do a quiz. Lovely Italian kids, really well behaved. All went well apart from some bellend shouting 'COME ON ENGERLAAANDD!!!' in their terrified faces as he had noticed they were 'forrin'.

Sorry to hear that Station, I hope it was nothing to do with dismantled car parts on the kitchen worktop?. I think I'm lucky to have met Mrs. Trigger, after 9 years of being together and 4 years of marriage we are still going strong, Even with my strange ways!Little problems like her not being able to have children and the first IVF treatment failing the other week only seem to make us stronger.

Thanks all, I've been there before and just got to get on with things, at least I have more time now to do all the shitty things I've been putting off (ie clean oil off folk's drive, fix Astra's arches).

I have a problem with the number of cars I have, where they are stored and they money it costs me to keep them all on the road, or get them roadworthy in the first place. Thats why im going to get rid of the Porka 924, I cant justify spending money on it to get it MOTd and taxed when it isnt really needed. Just a reality check I suppose... That pug is small though.. small enough to hide up the corner somewhere. Bet it costs pennies to run too. No. Must be strong!I don't understand why the Pug hasnt sold yet. It looks straight, is MOTd and taxed, its a nice colour and its 5 doors. Its also nice and small and wife friendly. I thought superminis were a piece of piss to sell!

Aye Trig - some of 'ere have been lucky just in case others were getting worried! But I'm certainly not married to the first girl I met, or had a relationship with (she's actually my best mate which has previously caused issues!) and these things do fall apart occasionally. All you can do is enjoy the benefits of singledom for a bit, dust yourself off and carry on with life. What made me see hearts with The Wife was when she told me "You said you were in to cars, and I was worried you were some sort of boy racer. When I found out it was 2CVs I was really happy!" They do exist.

Oh God, the wife didnt like me saying that things "seemed ok" and now isnt speaking to me :(

You know it's love when the wife comes home from work all happy waving her mobile under your nose telling you how she saw a "crap" car today took a photo of it for me!

Great idea Tayne but I have a mate who works there who informs me that complaints are generally "lost" as they affect customer satisfaction targets. My friend Sue suffers from practically everything and once sent a complaint letter, and a congratulations letter to her hospital in the same envelope. Oddly enough, the congrats letter was acknowledged, made the paper and staff newsletter. The complaint letter mysteriously disappeared despite being in the same envelope. The surgery is owned by my main Doctor (there are about eight doctors in total) and when I next see him I will tell him that I plan on leaving the surgery to transfer to another one because of the treatment I received from his receptionist - who will be well advised not to attempt to charge me £50 to transfer my records elsewhere. It wont do any good of course and there is an element of cutting off my nose to spite my face but I just cannot abide poor service and rudeness from anyone when it isnt warranted. As I work in London, I cant get to my doctor in the morning or after work so I need to take time off to see him. I can go to a Medicentre in London where they are only too pleased to see me and my money and despite the costs I will probably do that in future.

It might be worth a go but rude receptionist probably isnt a major case for them. Will bear it in mind though. Saw today the Doctor who claimed there was a link between Autism and the MMR vaccine was struck off. Cant help but feel there is a bit of a whitewash there. My daughter was fine until the MMR shots when she became ill, developed Chickenpox, fevers, and salmonella (!!) in short order and totally changed. Now diagnosed as high functioning Autistic and all this happened after the MMR. And my Doctor still tries to persuade me to get my son's shots sorted. Would you risk it?
