Yes, yes of course I'll knock 25% off the fucking price because it's got less than 6 months MOT. And 'don't ask me what my best price is' doesn't apply to you because you live 45 miles away?

DO NOT mess with the bus mafia.

I did, crime reference number and whatnot noted and the police are coming out to interview me on Friday morning. I think it was a dark metallic red... to be honest I didn't actually think she'd hit me until I got back to the garage or I'd have chased her.

That would have been fun to see!

Abs light shouldn't be under seat. That's airbag not anti lock brakes unless I'm missing something

The more I re read this the more I think it was the airbag light... If it's on tomorrow I'll confirm!

Alarm just gone off to get up for work. Didn't go sleep till midnight. Oh joy.

I r numpty, it's the airbag light. I unplugged and re-plugged the passenger seat connector when I got to work as that was the issue last time, will see if that sorts it. Really must solder them together properly! the passenger side one has been done before and only has 5 or 6 strands of wire connected

Well, from what I've heard before... if you have an accident and don't report it to insurance, the body shop repairing the damage still reports it to the insurance. Well, some of them do anyway.

This may turn something up for the polis to look at, though. They could just inquire at local body shops for dark coloured Nissan Qashqais with damage down the nearside who haven't reported it to the insurance. Can't be that many fitting that criteria, surely?

I'm just amazed that somebody would do that and just drive off (besides the fact they never saw a big fuck-off bus in the first place). Whatever medication they were on at the time, I want some!

Posted

Why would a body shop do that and how would the police have time to deal with the reports?

Only time I could see it was if there was a national appeal for information following a fatality.

Probably had no insurance/licence/stolen. Still, some cold comfort in that if it was theirs they're going to have to pay out of their own pocket to fix it and can't put in a whiplash claim

Nah, it'll just end up on ebay.

"Minor damage to passenger side, will easily buff out"

More likely they're just more-important-than-you types going to a meeting for work or picking Tarquin up from nursery and simply haven't got time to talk it over.

Might be the truck in the third lane, might be the Frontera and it's really shitty mpg, not for me to decide!

Airbag light is back off! Drove my mum to Lidl as she's never been and it was fine. I don't like Lidl, more expensive than Aldi, but a worse class of chav inside the store. We then stopped off at a farm shop where I bought a massive bacon scotch egg which I shall eat after my sandwiches! (which is a grin but it would look stupid just mentioning it out of context on the grin thread. It could taste like shit too so it may be relevant)

Isn't Lidle much the same as Aldi? I struggle to tell them apart. Just Aldidle really!

OK a proper gump this time and a rhetorical question of my own, why do some people have to be such wankers?

Much in the vain of whoever it was that posted about some dipshit at their work saying that we're sat in their truck for hours I've had similar today.

I volunteer at my sons school, on Tuesday I work with a teaching assistant in her early 20's she's run off straight to the head as I accidentally said "stop jumping at the window you git" to my own son... OK understandable, not good but then not that bad.

But also one kid had done a bit of research on Nelson Mandela, said he'd been in prison a long time. "what was he in prison for?" she asked, kid didn't know. "he was sent for being a terrorist" says I. Apparently she doesn't like that. So historical fact (in different if it was right or wrong) now has to be ignored does it??

It's shit like this why I've left two jobs before and making me start to think why the fuck do I bother. The children should be treat like people not babies at the moment they are doing a 'heros and villains' topic, you can't do that without learning both sides of the story.

In todays world today you will never win. There will always be someone ready to shoot you down in flames. If you ever dared to say that the World was round someone would contradict you and go running to 'the boss'. Too many small folk have too much power, and revel in it. Office politics sucks! Most people are more concerned about wether or not you ate the yoghurt that they kept in the 'fridge than what you actually teach the kids.
