Seems the MX5 hasn't actually grown all that much. It's a bit wider, sure, but hey aren't we all when we get older? :D

One of the neighbours made it easy for me.

May as well post the only appropriate image I have, again.

Out of all the above images this is the most surprising to me as I thought the GT86 was pretty small and the Mr2 (this gen anyway) pretty big!

The SW20 MR2 is a funny one. Everyone thinks they are really light, they arent.
Mine is the lightest body style, but is still just under 1200kg IIRC.
Dimensionally, they aren’t much bigger than the AW11, really, yet people expect them to be massive lol.

The thing with any modern coupé when compared to an older one is they will always be higher. So they can never really be ‘small’.

I recall being alongside a Ferrari 458 in traffic and my roofline didn’t feel a kick in the arse off its belt line, with its huge wheels etc.

Again, the older estate looks cute and small.

That Corsa looks wider and obviously taller than the Mk3 Cavalier! I reckon most folks would struggle to get a modern "supermini" through a conventional single garage door

The yellow paint on those Ferrari callipers cost more than the £1200 I paid for the e430, the Merc started after I left it in that garage for 3 weeks too. The month old Portofino can’t go 2 days unplugged from its conditioner.

This time the modern is mine, I wish it was the other way round.

Rover 75 made to look small next to a Golf.

The Mondeo has always been a lump I think though it's really not that big next to the Golf...
