Angrydicky Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Nice spots! Space Cruisers are really rare now, that's a real survivor. Anyone else think that Aston's registration is quite appropriate...?
binhoker668 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Oh yeah - this one too.Heap of dung if you ask me! (And that RS badge looks dubious).
binhoker668 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 And finally. My fave shop in Notts. (Is this allowed? There is a car in front of it...sort of....) Paul Dupart and michael t 2
retrogeezer Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 TV's, DVD's and microwaves??? WTF? Like the T25 camper too....
Lord Sterling Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Oh yeah - this one too.Heap of dung if you ask me! (And that RS badge looks dubious).I like this, but a little too chavved up for me. Theres an early one of these in a yard in Cradley Heath, I cant get in the right place to take a pic as its too far in the yard and in a corner so very difficult to picture.

Albert Ross Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 The Sierra's a XR4i. Early pre-Cosworth 3 door, unique shell, very strong, 2wd 2.8 injection. Rare and expensive in good nick.
Station Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 That Aston Martin is nearly dripping with blood, what a beast and what a number plate.
Pillock Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I like this, but a little too chavved up for me. S'only the badges and backbox, 30 minutes with a spanner and some alcohol wipes would sort that! I must admit to quite fancying a Mk4 Cabrio at some point.... I'm crap at hairdressing and I'm hetrosexual but they do appeal. Maybe not the runout model in dusky mauve with matching leather though, that's a bit too much.

binhoker668 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 Woodall services on the M1 today - WOT A STUNNAH!! Only 27,000 on the clock too!Very very impressed. Had a 'WW' badge on the front too. PS. Feel free to tell me that I've finally lost it, but for some reason, these always remind me of : Discuss??

Czechered Flag Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 has no 1 noticed that the Mazda has appeared in the background of a few other pics. You sure it's not following you??
binhoker668 Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 Out and about in Sherwood again last night - many abandoned houses and cars abound! Here's some examples - all from the one wrecked house...Can anyone put a name to the decrepitated machine round the back? Rover. Fairly dead I reckon!Another dead Rover, and the back of the unknown vehicle.Unidentified - anyone?? I want to move into this house and leave the back yard exactly as it is!

Angrydicky Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Pretty sure the mystery car is a Triumph TR2/3, happy to be corrected. Still worth about a million quid though.
trigger Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 The 213 has been there a while as well. The vehicle details for B915 HTO are: Date of Liability 01 09 2002 Date of First Registration 01 02 1985 Year of Manufacture 1985 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1342CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour RED
binhoker668 Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 Yup - just had a trawl thru google, reckon it is the TR3 rather than TR2 - extra couple of switches to the right of wheel. This house is just shamesville!
barrett Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 That's in better condition than the MK1 MGA coupe that's in a back garden down my street.....
binhoker668 Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 Looks like it's been a donor car or something - no clocks/seats etc...
reallyloud Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 This is great! All the 3 Series survivors I've come across are the post 1981 facelift models which asides from the odd bit of trim are undistinguishable from the last ones. Rust killed the early ones, but I assume Volvo sorted out the corrosion issue by then. I also see the link between the car and grover - its the eyes I think.

Hovered around fer ages to try and speak to the owner, but Mrs Hoker got *somewhat bored!*.
binhoker668 Posted October 25, 2018 Author Posted October 25, 2018 SO. Dropped in at Podders' Scrapyard yesterday on the way home from work.Couple of wee bits and piece3s that might be of note to some? Can anyone remember who owns the stunning white Xantia on here? This one has a stay of execution for a matter of days. Looks like it was bang tidy before it met it's fate. Very clean inside etc. Some other bits and bobs knocking around... And finally, our old Transit from work. Finally met it's end. 39,000 genuine miles on it's (correct) engine. Somebody got a good 'un!! I did try to snag it, but to no avail... Crap update, more soon hopefully.... michael t and Datsuncog 2
andy18s Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I actually thought that was rust on the Merc... SierraMikeHotel and oldcars 2
