Not that it's exactly newsworthy, but I'm taking a break from forums and social media for a bit, for my own sanity.

Not wanting to send you any more insane than you feel already but i see irony in your declaration on a forum that you are taking a break.

However. I thank you for telling me, because I might have worried.

Irony indeed.

Can't stay away from this place, but I'm definitely not missing Facebook...

Updates on the pocket rocket:

Back bumper rattles, that will get annoying.

Wiper squeaks. Already annoying, will fix soon.

I've had to mangle the rear arches to stop the huge* wheels from rubbing over big bumps. It doesn't look pretty, but is functional. Fronts rub on inner wing on full lock - solution is to not use full lock.

Tightened up throttle cable, it 'feels' more responsive now. It was as baggy as... well, use your artistic license...

Other than that, it just does very well as being an car. And this is the third month I've owned it, so I'm doing well.

The Mini and the 172 have my son's doodles on the frost on them, every time he walks past. My wife took it to another level last night by drawing a big pair of tits on the 172 windscreen though. Replicates the face of the man who usually drives it though, so nobody will notice......

Well, that's less than ideal. Ice on the inside...

When you get home, put a fan heater inside and open the windows a little to dry it out.

The issue is getting in the car with damp feet.  Water evaporates in the day, condenses on the window in the evening and freezes in the night.

You need to dry your feet before you come in.

Maybe... but

Mrs H's Leon Cupra was like this, this morning, its less than a year old so not just an old car thing!

I’d be taking that in to be looked at - dodgy door/window seal surely. Unless you regularly store damp clothes etc in the car.

My year old 3 series was absolutely bone dry inside this morning as I’d expect it to be

The ZR was like this until i fixed the sunroof. The sign of a leak id have thought, not just wet shoes.

Yeah I've had this issue before and eventually I found puddles, either in the spare wheel well or the passenger foot well. I really hate cars that leak.

Suppose I'd better update this thread with my latest conquest. A topless French lady no less!

How long will I keep it? Place bets now!

At least until around Easter when the weather brightens up and there is some demand for topless French ladies.

I most certainly do!  It's treated like a pampered pooch 😁.  Love these 306 cabs. They are far more durable than people realise.  👍
