It's, fooking, hunners o' miles away, so far away,,,,, I have a nose bleed just thinking aboot it. It's being aborted fae anither shiter on a 50% upfront 50% on collection. Interest free deal. We, me and loon, depart tomorrow at 6(fecking)am. We have digs booked for tomorrow night at some shithole called, Dunstabling, or something similar.... Where a shity Hillyday Inn twin room can be had for £39.99 the night including breakfast and OMG - FREE WIFFY. Still, better than than the utter grimness that is a Travelbodge.

Tools packed, walkie talkies packed, spare pants and teethbrush unpacked, as yet (that's the wife's job). Ronnie, our collecshiun weapon/vehicle of choice has been fuelled to the neck and has so far returned 20.1mpg on supermarket derv. That can only get better(er) or I'm probably going to run out of money and diesel at some point returning North? I'm sticking this up the now as, 6am! Will update as and when. Wish us luck.

Cheers, Hawkeye.

P.S. The motor is not for me it's for the loon as and I quote - "he's always wanted 'one'." :boomer:

Whats a loon? Is loon - son?

I wish you luck with your endeavour - what diesel is returning 20mpg?? Must be a 4.0 tdi or something of size!

It's short for Pantaloon. Scottish rhyming slang.

Pantaloon gate - Mate.

Gerrin! I love a collection thread on a Sarada, I'm at work so this will give me something to idly browse while I'm*grafting*

How was the Greggs - I always find them to be barely luke warm/coldish unless you are there at the exact second they come out of the oven....

Correct collection vehicle and correct breakfast.

Must all equate to a correctly specked car, therefore as there are no clues, I'm saying Saab 9-5 estate 2.3t aero.

Just because I can.

I hope this is to collect a much older, shitter Land Rover... or, even better, a Range Rover.

Running cold though.

GLWTC

Probably better that than the other option...........

This is how all Saturdays should be. Eating Gregg's in a carpark in a car, on the way to buying another car.

10/10 so far.

I do enjoy such weekend frivolity. It makes walking a half mile down the hill, collecting the TF and driving back like I did Monday, very boring.

Good luck.

Likewise, lovely to meet the Hawkeyethenoo's and top buyers, 10/10 for pleasantness and 15/8 for willingness to travel very long distances to buy cars!

Have a safe trip back to Oban and keep us updated of the next chapter of the AS Celica!
