Six-cylinder Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0i V6 240 bhp 5 speed Auto 97,000 miles MOT 4th Oct 2019 Ex Wurum, Stephen01 Looks fantastic, drives beautifully, smooth, powerful and quiet. Cams are chain driven no belts Being pre emission for tax just £155 for six months or £255 for 12 months V5C in my name, get you home tax Not so Good Cassette part of the radio does not work (what a disappointment this was when I got my Morse tapes out to listen to in my Jag) I have had to top up the power steering reservoir I have had to top up the header tank with half a Ltr Headlights aim low, leveling does not seem to work so I added a screw as per youtube to do it manually but this has not solved it. Headlights need polish Central locking does not work, one key that operates driver’s door, reach across for the other doors and release buttons for boot and fuel cap that work fine. A few minor dings and chips on paintwork Few small splits in interior plastics if you are being picky No record of last service Steering wheel slightly at an angle but car drives in a straight line. I was told when I got it “the air con doesn't work- prob just a regas” For sale due to the first catch of 2019. Usual help with collection from local railway station etc £375 collect Buckingham MK18 Jazoli, gadgetgricey, Sheefag and 10 others 13

Broadsword Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 These do look really rather rakish in black. I wish I had a farm to set up a Jaguar sanctuary, but alas! GLWTS!
eddyramrod Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 There's no guarantee when or even if I'll get my licence back (I have applied) otherwise I would jump at this. It's a beautiful car (of a type I've never owned!) at a price I would very happily pay. Dammit.
dean36014 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Well just checked mpg figures nd its going to be a bit pricy i think to run as a daily on limited budget unfortunately cpjitservices 1

Crispian_J_Hotson Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I also can't have that hugo suit, enjoying loss of sleep and saving for two heads and an auto box*. * I'm sure it'll be fine*. The missis knew this was coming. Fortunately I just missed out on a mid life crisis Z3 summer smoker as the bids went too high for it had 'issues'. Her reaction tonight was... "For fucks sake (insert name here)". Then I proceeded to explain that if we can daily a V8 discovery, this will be a doddle. "Then you've got to get it MOT'd" was her reply... "Already covered" I said. Then she asked if it was an auto to which I confirmed it was. "So I can drive it then"? "Yes, yes you can dear... I'm off to make a cup of tea now and have a lie down". Went well I reckon. alf892, The Moog, Christine and 3 others 6
Crispian_J_Hotson Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Shits just got real. Spent 2 hours of my life wasting it on looking at insurance quotes. I also found out a new feature... if you dick about with them to make them cheaper have to change details entered incorrectly a few times then you can get 'barred' from buying from that insurer online! Highest over 3 grand, lowest just over 500. That's too dear for someone like me with my exemplary driving record, they're taking the biscuit! In feeling hard done by I rang my current insurer who's doing it for another £65 over what they were doing the touring at which totals just over 400 quid with national recovery to home. 12/10 will use again. BRING IT ON! BorniteIdentity, yes oui si, LightBulbFun and 2 others 5
Maurice Marina Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Couple of years I bought a similar one for £2k and I thought that was a bargain!
Saabnut Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I am so, so pleased this has sold! I am needing a cheap small economical shopping trolley but this was calling to me. Thank you buyer!
Six-cylinder Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 I took it out this morning and my bottom lip was quivering at what I have done! I will really miss that silky smooth shove that it gives. alf892 1
wuvvum Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Glad this is staying within the fold. It really is a lovely thing to drive.
gadgetgricey Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 well bought sir.Looks as though you are sorted insurance wise, but you could always try Peter S Taylor for classic insurance. The car needs to be over £1500 for Insurance purposes though. Crispian_J_Hotson 1
