The Chevette would be my dream retirement project.

Would love to fit an Omega V6 engine into one, which would give it close to the same power as the works rally Chevettes had back in the day, without the expense or complication of a highly tuned engine.

I saw a feature in Total Vauxhall years ago where someone had done it, so I know its possible.

Three and a half grand to make your Transit look like a leaking nitrogen tank in winter? Bollocks.

Yamaha Rd250 D - Picture 1 of 9

Yamaha Rd250 D | eBay UK

Had a silver one (possibly an 'E' model) back in the day and painted it yellow.  It went well, but like all the 2T yams I had back in the day, it was very unreliable.

See above.

Kinda thought if taken how written a fully welded up moggy and an old fiat kit with a rebuilt motor and sorted chassis were both going concerns. Ones treasure is another's shite and visa versa hey.

These are based on the Rootes 'Arrow' range of cars - so the Minx, Hunter, Sceptre and Vogue models. Screen and door are from there. Not sure how much else they share.

Dash looks Sceptre. Looks like it's been caught in flood water.

The steering wheel is definitely from an earlier Hunter or Minx.

on line auction this afternoon.

preview…

I've had my eye on a few of these as bidding seemed very slow initially. In the end most cars sold for quite healthy prices. The yellow T2 Westfalia without windshield or indication of road use in the last 15 years sold for 10 grand in the end...

The 1951 Bentley special made a silly amount given how awful the proportions are.
