That's the appeal, how much does it take to turn the most ordinary of cars into something that feels desirable (not saying that the TC achieved that but it's probably the closest any K-car has gotten, aside from that '90 Imperial).

My Oldest sister and her ex-husband. A colonel in the US army had one of these. They were for a short while stationed in Stuttgart. The US army paid for them to have an almost identical vehicle shipped to Germany.  My wife and my parents and me went to visit them in 1991 and my sister and her 2 kids then went camping with us in the Black Forest Gatauex mountains.  We travelled in the Beige Station wagon. My sister driving.  Completely unrestricted empty autobahn. 

Fuck me. The car may or may not have had a top speed higher that 85 mph, which is where the speedo stopped. But we never found out because she never went over 60 mph.  I was so bored.  My Dad had 2 of the 3 tents up before we arrived.
