My dad’s dad bought one new and died in 1976. It was dark blue though and my parents had it. I didn’t like it as it had black vinyl seats which my four year old legs stuck to when it was hot.

My Uncle had a dark blue 120Y Estate in the mid 80's. He took it for its MOT and the tester stopped the test and marked it down as a deathtrap - there was that much rust in the engine bay, the engine was about to fall out of the car! My Uncle's response was "We went down to London in it last week".

Fiat Ducato 1998 1.9 Diesel MiniBus Ideal Camper Conversion Project

It was kept as a spare minibus for school contracts that we did for the local council but we would test it every year and never actually use it.

It had electronic power steering fitted in Stratford Upon Avon about 7 years ago (£1000) and has pretty much not been used since only to the test centre and back.

MOT history shows no tests in between 2005 and 2025?

I think it was ok while they had it - wanted a hatch back though as my sister and I grew up.  They did have a row with the dealer though who lost the spare wheel on the first service they had and denied doing so.

It will be but I don’t know the dealer. It was Wrexham.

@retro80sboy or @shaun1706 might remember. If it was Denbighshire could it have been Slaters?

There are 3 blue Datsuns still live on the DVLA  system with PUN4xxM registrations - PUN433M, PUN437M and PUN441M. MOT check has 433 as a Nissan unknown and 437 & 441 as Datsun 120Ys.

Ideally, we'd like to sell it to someone who can repair it and is willing to wait about nine months for a replacement key.

That might be a bargain for someone. This lot say  Immobiliser Transponder Recoding  in 2-3 days

That's the appeal, how much does it take to turn the most ordinary of cars into something that feels desirable (not saying that the TC achieved that but it's probably the closest any K-car has gotten, aside from that '90 Imperial).
