1998 FORD MONDEO 1.8LX. LOVELY CAR. FULL FORD SERVICE HISTORY. WANTS FOR NOTHING £550! Seems like a nice car for that money.

Quote

Selling my Ford Mondeo as I have bought a newer car.

Lovely old car this, genuine 72700 miles and a full Ford service history. Even has the red master key in the wallet.I have just had the cambelt and water pump done (receipt to prove) new in tank fuel pump and a full service. (Spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, full synthetic oil and oil filter)The car wants for nothing, runs like a swiss watch. Starts, runs and stops like it should. It has MOT until December 17th, and will fly through its next one. It has 2 former owners, the first being a Ford executive i believe.

You wont find many of these, especially in this condition, with genuine low miles and a full service history, its a real bargain for someone.

It does have a few scratches here and there, and there's a misty patch on the windscreen, but its been the same in my ownership and hasn't bothered the mot. But other than that, it really cleans up well and shines when polished and the interior is near mint.

Fitted with a Sony stereo as well.

All tools in the boot, spare wheel with a brand new tyre.

@Schaefft et al how is parts availability?

I don't mind pricey parts but the whole NLA thing is a massive PITA with my Maestro.

Speaking about the later W126 Mechanical and service parts are not that bad or expensive to find. Mercedes themselves have pretty good parts backup.

Trim and bodywork can be astronomical however. Corrosion will be the main issue as the W116 really liked to rot.

I had a 350and Ive never owned a thirstier car like 15 mpg on a very good day and I don’t imagine the 450 will be improving on that . I loved the car though but would want a 280 so I could actually afford to drive it places
