Austin Cambridge A60 Classic Car - Picture 1 of 14

Austin Cambridge A60 Classic Car | eBay UK

God knows what's going on with the front seats, but it needs saving.

Just covers for the possible well worn leather under. That looks like banger racing martial unfortunately.

The guy never reached out to me despite clearly voicing my interest. Sometimes cars don't sell (or aren't finding a home) not because it's the car or the price that are the problem.

He said he'd message you too! Anyway, you wouldn't want 2, would you? How's the green one?

I've only started it up, drove it up the road and back and checked the sills really quickly. So far so good, it could be a nice one!

Potentially cheap* Mulsanne

If it stays at the top end guide, I think it'll make it £1,720 with their fees (£900 to buy it then fees of £600+ VAT) but I've probably got that wrong.

I'm going to start tagging @eddyramrod for these as he should probably get one instead of a rubbish CF van

Right...

1: a CF is only rubbish if it has a tractor engine.  If it runs on proper petrol then it's the best possible van in its class.  Which brings us conveniently to:

2: Little Sherpa does at least have the correct engine!

3:  At first glance that Little Sherpa does look like a good idea; it's cheap enough.  However!  Look closer and there's only half the bloody thing left!  No load bed, no fuel tank, and of course there's bodywork to do.  Fuel tank isn't such an issue, I could get a tank, but I would have liked at least the frame of a flatbed.  My carpentry skills are not good enough to build one from scratch.  Also, I've proved that my vehicle skills have alarmingly low limits too now and I can tell by the pics that they won't reach that.

4:  All that said: yes please do tag me on these.  I actually do like them.  I've driven plenty of the 400 series with work - sadly all diesel - and they're better than many cars I've owned!  And they certainly need to be preserved for future generations.  I would happily be a part of that endeavour.

Nice. Did the Sherpa/Pilot/whatever ever get the Orgasm-series engine, or was it only ever the Bum-series from the MGB?

That late, it'll be the 1700 O; in the beginning they used the 1622 B, not sure if they ever went up to 1798.  And I don't think they ever had the MG's twin carbs!
