When I were a lad, back in the mid '90s, there was one of these for sale in the classifieds and I desperately wanted my dad to buy it for me.  It was blue with gold wheels and had been race tuned - the seller reckoned it'd do 80.  Dad declined to purchase it, probably wisely, and I ended up with a rather tamer MBK Swing instead.

I'm sure that was a real comfort to the forty eight miles of traffic stuck behind it every journey.

I used to occasionally have to drive one of those back in the late 90s. Woefully slow is an understatement. Even unladen it made my 2.25 diesel powered long wheelbase Land-Rover feel like a sports car. Loaded up it was a complete liability; 40-45 mph was prety much all you could expect.
