I wish I had the money and space for this:

$(KGrHqRHJE8FJF0e,DYeBSWthV(19Q~~60_12.J

...and the skills, although I guess the only way to acquire the skills is to buy it and get stuck in!

Isn't it great, and the BIN of eight grand actually seems a quite cheap for a complete car which doesn't have a radio because the first radio broadcast didn't happen until it was six years old! It was more than half a century old when man landed on the moon! It doesn't have a personal wifi hotspot because mobile phones with 802.11 wifi were not widely available at the time of its construction!

But it runs well on Ethanol.

I wonder what happened with that CX? Someone spent 12 grand on it then a couple of years later it's conked out and on ebay for 500 quid. Very strange.

My impression was that the £12k CX resto was some years ago. I'm trying to pretend I haven't seen it as I'd love another. I even have some tins of C-matic fluid in the garage...

That cx went for 700  in the end. I like the idea of buying a cx but lack the balls for it. I so nearly bought the metallic red d reg one that Dollywobbler had a few years back

“Does run, but a constant knocking noise coming from the engine.â€Â

Put some thicker oil in, or turn the radio up. I ran a van version of this for 100k, for work, and it made a poxy racket for 85k of them. Never "failed to proceed", until it shat it's gearbox out in Chelmsford in the rush hour.

Nah, it's a long way from me and I don't have much wantage for a Streetwise to be honest, least of all one that manky.  I don't see the point in them at all.  Bit too modern for a start!

This looks a miserable heap, 2.5 TD with wind up windows, I'm guessing taxi spec?.

Quite interesting that (if you're sad like me) as although it's taxi spec most (if not all) councils wouldn't allow black coloured cars to be used as mini cabs because they could be confused with black cabs*.

I still remember a bloke a few doors down spraying his black 504 estate white on the grass in front of his council flat, on a Saturday afternoon in the wind.

*If you ever get bored in a mini cab mention black cabs as they go mental about them having different laws etc.
