What was that I said about the best colour?

teal306frontq.thumb.jpg.25e29541c0d06b7e5d3f326292d745c8.jpg

Anyway this has been sitting in an open shed filled with mice and general shit for an unknown amount of time. Currently at £3.5k presumably to the man (or woman!) wearing their underwear on the outside.

Seller "needs the space". Not sure what for, more badly stacked logs which definitely wont have fallen on the car before?

Don't you just love those unfinshed project ads, where the seller includes a picture of what it used to look like as a kind of "here's what you could have won" type thing:

306youcouldhavewon.jpg.dbd8fb6d65f8274d8ac8f2abfeaddacd.jpg

But the main body of pictures are of it now. After whoever took it apart realises putting it back together is the hard part

306fuckediside.thumb.jpg.38f98a31cdd5630130cde5423017145e.jpg

This is my favourite, it screams " just take it off for now we'll label them and box them up later"

306fuckedoutside.thumb.jpg.8f2ffe4bfbe037594e09ad5b9315a9e8.jpg

No idea what happened to acheive this paint style.

Seller also makes a confusing reference to selling it because of the car's failure to be done "on time". What for is not clear. Maybe they know something we don't?

Currently at £1,850 which is cheap if it's all there and not overly fucked. Might be fun, like a big expensive jigsaw.

Less excitement to be had in the E36 camp. I like these, I'm on my second and I will freely admit they are deeply flawed vehicles. The interiors particularly are properly wank.

This one is nice in a very humdrum way. I refuse to beleive that black is a rare colour though.

Steamy headlights (TADTS)

Saggy glovebox, and the door card fabric is making a break for it. Again TADTS. Tape deck and analogue clock for added misery

Oh, no they all have that. They call them scallops, I think.

Could probably do with a fat fuck like me to sit in them and bring the ride height down a bit.

I like it. As an aside, the 6000rpm red line seems optimistic by Austin Rover for an A+. Wonder what they sound like up there?

That's a big understatement. Dave must have a similar glasses prescription to Ray Charles.

Yes I do dread to think what would happen if you started digging into that with any gusto.

Or opened the sunroof.

On a similar overpriced tip as @Poweredbyhopealone, here is a 17 year old, 130k Saab 9-5 for £6500. It has Abbott bits on it apparently.

Is this capitalism failing us by creating the market forces which have lead to this, or is this just a greedy bastard?

Answer: Yes.

I have 2 saved searches. E36's and 306's.

Are you me?

Probably two of my favourite cars too.

Another person of impeccable taste. Or potentially a dangerous attraction to the number 6.

Who's the Rage'N'Bone man? Some sort of impersonator?

He can't mean Rag'N'Bone man, as he drives a dropside Transit.

Perhaps it's the inventor of viagra, the Ragin' Bone man?

Can't be him either. He's got a SsangYong Erection.

100 bags and that's all you could do? What a time to be alive

5 minutes research on this car would tell you it’s not James Hunt’s  one . Barons say as much in their 2016 description, for one thing.

Another old post on an MB forum from the person that painted it silver and swapped the green velour for black leather , after paying £1,800 for it in 2013, for another.

Plus various mentions of Hunt’s one being white.

As for collecting it from Rag and Bone Man’s estate, am I the only one thinking Council rather than Capability Brown ?

"please don't hesitate to contact me."

Er...I think I'll hold back just a little bit if you don't mind.

it's not much better than the 300bhp stage 3 thing I had. 2004 04 plate 117k for £1500 on here.

Treason of the highest order right there.

The best aspect of this whole thing is the 200k on the clock too

Just drooled over that Trabi and eBay suggest this alternative. A Favorit estat-u-roof with nailed on plastic arches, and a sunroof delete so perfect* you can't see the joins.

Interest encouraged at £350; Dorset.

All the MOT history on this is a gem, but this is the highlight (and no it didnt pass anyway, it failed on 40 other things)
