This comes up for sale a lot. It looks great value and very interesting I cannot understand why it has not found a decent home.

It was for sale for a long, long time with the previous owner. £2000 starting bid auctions that never had a single bid. These guys bought it, I assume, for quite a bit less. When the previous owner had it up I was talking to my Flavia guru about it, and he reckoned it would be worth a punt if "it was less than a grand". The trouble is the parts for this will be just as expensive as for a coupé, and you'll be left with something that most people in this country won't understand and you'll probably never be able to sell it. Definitely not for enough money to cover the costs of recommissioning. As I keep having to tell myself, a new brake servo for one of these is £1500. That Buy it Now really is just the downpayment on a working car.

If I had more money I'd have it, as these are probably the greatest saloon cars ever built, but (maybe because I'm getting old) it does seem like a possible world of pain and expense when you could buy the nicest one in the world for £10k

Not shitty enough; would be better if it was on 2 curb damaged three spoke alloys, 1 steelie with a generic Halfords wheeltrim, and 1 emergency spare. And all tyres should be of different brands of course.

And the colour of the panels that are red is far too close for my liking.

1976 Granada 2000 GL with 12k miles.  :)

Looks like an interesting resto project. 40 years ago my late parents owned a 1976 2000 L which was specced like a GL. It had the fog lights, chrome wheel rims and a black vinyl roof (diamond white paintwork).

I keep looking at this, it is my sort of car, lovely colour too but I suspect they want an awful lot of money and I am a tightwad. POA means that if you have to ask the price then you cannot afford it. If it had tan interior though I would be on the phone to them.
