It's a Renault Goélette, like wot it says on the advert.  It was the predecessor to the Saviem SG2 which I had one of (the SG standing for "Super Goélette").

I would imagine it was originally an army vehicle, hence the canvas top.

But, yes of course you are right. At my (16yrs old) suggestion / nagging etc a Mk1 Transit replaced my mum's J4 and the leap forward in every way except rust protection was tremendous. I learned to drive (and popped my cherry) in that Transit.  Neither would have happened in a J4 or the fuck-awful Ford Thames vans before that.

All the same, that one looks nice enough.

I'd imagine they go fairly well with a Vanguard engine in them too.

There was one of those at Kings Lynn a year or two back - it only made about £9K if memory serves.  I thought at the time that it looked particularly good value for what it was.  Even £15K doesn't seem out of the way.

It's been a long time since I saw something on here I wanted as much as this. Good job it's in Turkey. You can see the Ogle design  straight away. It looks like a baby Scimitar GT SE4 and I believe Reliant had a hand in setting up the company.
