Here's your chance to challenge @Six-cylinder in the race to an MOT'd Giulietta.

Plus if it was a dead heat then you'd win because it's beige.

Lets hope Mrs6C does not read this or she will have me bidding on it as her original Giulietta was a 1.8, that was damaged by a tree falling on our house.

Back in 1996 I was about to gave back a company car and had a 1975 Mercdes 280CE to replace it but it was not ready from a bodyshop so I needed a temporary car. I told Mrs6C that I was going to buy a 1984 Saab 900i 2 door saloon, but she thought it was the least interesting choice so made me look again. It looked at an Alfa 164 V6 too scary, 1978 MB 250E heater matrix gone and 1.8 Giulietta, just a bit too unknown as my daily business car. I bought the Saab and was immediately sent back to buy the Giulietta for her as well!

Ha!

Go on, you know it makes sense.  Worst case it could donate a tidy looking interior for your red one.

Edit: soooo tempted to tag Mrs6C in this...

It certainly is for a nice one like that looks (don’t do Facebook so can’t see much detail).

Late registration madness there: the series 2 came out on an X suffix.

Also, it seems to have a rear wiper fitted - I didn’t think they did those on the S1 / S1.5 tailgates. Could be aftermarket of course.

It says in the advert it's a 1.5, which explains some of the weirdness.

I have to sell one of my cars, 4 is too many! This one is a scruffy but solid 1982 Series 1.5 SD1, that has just passed its MOT and is ready to use. It's had a lot of new parts, callers, discs, pads, hoses, cables shocks, springs etc etc etc. It's also running an electronic ignition so starts and runs well. Pretty much everything works, the heater is good and it just wafts along in 1980s style. Any questions please ask.

Wahey, sounds like you didn’t just view it!

Looks very viable, keep us posted ?

That is just fantastic.  I have no need for it whatsoever but I just love it.  It looks like the mechanical equivalent of Ariel, my sister’s grumpy old farm donkey.

Have a couple more pics that aren’t in Cavcraft-o-scope:

Try selling skinny soya mochachinos out of the back of that, hipster muppets.
