Low mileage Vitesse. Good to see one, it's absolutely gorgeous, but it's £10.5k. A Vitesse is near the top of my all-time faves. Saw a black one near Aberdeen yesterday, what a stunning car to see out on the road.

Annoyingly shit photos, how hard can it be?

Never welded, doesn't need any, etc, but B40 ESD has an MOT advisory.

"Offside Rear Inner Vehicle structure is fractured but structural rigidity is not significantly reduced at floor".

Wonder what that's all about.

Mk1 facelift unfinished project for not a lot of money. Very solid shell indeed.

Originally a 2000GT auto with the Essex V4, unbelievably easy upgrade to a 3-litre, guy even offers a V6 engine. Black GT interior (but with 4-cyl revcounter) too.

Shell has wide auto-trans-tunnel and is at the stage where it could easily be upgraded to 3-litre spec. Facelifts even had 3-litre bonnet with wide front edges to fit twin GXL headlamps. If you can find the bezels for them.

Viable project which will be worth £££££ when finished if that's what you're interested in.

Classified ad, £2650 buys it today, that's peanuts for the potential this one has.

Wish I had some spare cash. And a garage to work in. Aaaaarghh!!

Paging Dan on the 'shitephone.

Edit - checked at 5.30pm, item sold. I'm not surprised.

Maybe I'm not hard core enough, but I think this is the worst car I have ever viewed (for the money). Admittedly I only went to look at as it was just a few miles from my frond door and the Range Rover wanted a run now that it has a working battery. I thought the price was maybe a bit of a joke and there would be plenty of negotiation room as I didn't know before today that you can't take a cherished plate off a car without and MOT (unless you scrap it). Anyway it had clearly been sitting in a field for years, and just pushed off a trailer onto the guy's drive. I could put my fist through the sills. Then there was the rest of the rust. It turned over by jumping the the starter relay and that is about it. "Oh I know my Jags, I've sold 60 of them. It's got good tyres! It only needs the immobilizer resetting!" I don't get why someone would put on the sales pitter patter on something that he got for free most likely, and is worth £500 scrap. Ok he got a cherished plate with it, well done dude, but seriously, just scrap it! His chickens were fun though!

Described as 'American Car'.

Very few details in the listing, it's a 78 Chrysler Cordoba. Doesn't even say which engine.

'MOT till September 2019, 38k miles'.

DVLA says 5900cc, making it a 360 V8.

I have fond memories of being wafted about Canada in a Cordoba (suitably attired in JRG) back in my teens! It would have been of similar vintahe as my first trip there was in '79.

You sure about the cherished plate thing? I took mine off my A209 last May before flogging it sans MOT. No probs at all. It certainly didn't get scrapped and I still see the new owner every few weeks and have a blether with him.

Fuk yeh it's yellow. And it's a dump truck. That means you can take a dump in the front bucket in a pinch. Where am I driving it to and how many burritos do I have to eat before I set off?

I googled the problem later on and people were slightly divided on the matter. Some said you defo need the MOT, some not. DVLA website said you have to have had the car such that it had not been untaxed during the past 5 years, although SORN is acceptable. Given though that you need and MOT to tax it, you might need the MOT to do the deed. It’s not very well explained though. You might get away with it if the MOT had recently expired before the tax running out. And I guess you can SORN it without an MOT so what about then. Anyway I didn’t believe the owner’s story on the car, there was no-where to go with it. Unless it were like £500 scrap and he have his plate for whatever it’s worth, no-one will ever buy it. Another has just come up for almost the same price on Autotrader and not only does it has an MOT, it has a non-rusty body on top, and it’s only moderately broken. I know specialist buy them in around £500 scrap since I asked directly one when buying a freshly restated bonnet for the XJR.

Beautiful Example of

Ford's Classic 1988 Fiesta

Honestly, the car is in fantastic condition for a 1988 Fiesta

• NS Front Suspension component mounting excessively corroded chassis

• OS Rear Inner and Outer Suspension component mounting excessively corroded sill
• NS Rear Inner and Outer Suspension component mounting excessively corroded sill

One of the hinges on the bonnet has rusted and will also need welding.

This says 230 on the back. Was that a real choice or has someone stuck a CLK badge on it?

You could get a 190e 2.3 in some markets but never here( apart from the Cossie) That is , as you surmise , just a badge off something else. A genuine one would say 190e on the left and 2.3 on the right.

More of a concern is that it hasn't even seen an MOT station since 2013!
