Have we had this Astra yet?  It's a Merit so 60bhp "Hi-Torq" engine and no PAS for added misery.  It does appear to have rear arches though, which is a bonus.

These two -erm- photos and some drivel about wedding cars are supposed to help selling a bloody Mayflower of all things for:

only £6950

because you supposedly can

watch it appreciate in value

And check out the other offerings of this deluded dinglebrain.

Either/or is perfectly correct in the way i applied it. It's shorthand for "needs to be saved". perhaps it's more regionally common here as a spoken term than elsewhere, but that doesn't make it wrong.

Saving = The act or intention of rescue

Saved = The completion (either finalised or in hope of finalisation) of rescue.

Given i'm referring to the hopeful completion of a rescue, The words saving or saved are correct. The construction of "Needs saved" is also correct.

What a genuinely bizarre thing to be picked up on, and genuinely bizarre outburst of a reply "Special Scottish grammar, for Special Scottish people".... With all due respect, sir, I'll keep that in mind the next time i'm reading one of your posts and having to rearrange it in my head to give myself a shot of working out what you're referring to, due to general bastardisation of grammar and punctuation.

And yet, when we try, we can be coherent.

Excellent explanation.

Anyway put it down to my pre-christmas blues. My self destructive nature is running rampant screaming insults in a way that should result in my imminent demise.

In short I needs (to be) saving.

For an old Sunny I'd say a few lamps and some fetteling is pretty much a flawless victory. Wonder how it would do if the MOT dude were allowed to remove the boot trim and check the rear towers?

This is an unusual one - Trabant converted to RHD using a Matiz engine, box and dashboard (!).

Tell you what, I really really like that. Wonder how good the conversion was though and how hard it'd be to get it registered, MOT'd and on UK plates...

It even has a Bosch pump with all the security* measures removed. Look at the easy access to the adjustment screws! :D

This Xantia is early enough to avoid the guarding and ECU of later ones. It's being sold by our own GoGently. I was seriously tempted til I looked at the cost of insurance, some £200 more than the Passat

I'm not sure whether JM will say 'Stan Woods' or 'Don't change a fucking thing' so I'm covering all bases...

It's impossible to tell from the deliberately nondescript description and photos carefully selected for not showing anything. I don't know what people doing this expect to be the benefit. In my opinion it just prevents people from further away making contact. However, to just assume it's fucked has often turned out not to be the case and I have missed many an opportunity because of it.

On the other hand, here is one on the road for 7,500, so why bother with the deliberately (because dishonest) or involuntarily (because country bumpkin) evasive seller at all?

Note upholstery material befitting one's social status:

It also appears to be the two carby version, which in theory makes it a genuine 100 OMGMPH car and much more suitable for The Climate improvement®. Also, being a 1953 makes it one of a very early batch, when assembly was executed most carefully. But most of all, it's beige, and we all know, that the upper half could be browned with not too much difficulty.
