21st century executive Renaults are capable of moon mileages with no* issues at all, see Mrs. Barefoot's Vel Satis.

The autobox is probably a generic Aisin one, no more of a risk than an automatic Volvo or Toyota of the era.

Have you checked the mot history on that?

Probably quicker than the original (and markedly better on fuel).Would love to know what autobox it's using.

Definitely not a Subaru automatic.

Three box Avensis 2.0 turbo diesel, these things are quite rare - the petrols are probably more fuel efficient on average and quicker, it's veg friendly though.

Plus TWO Corolla 2.0 NA diesels from the same seller at quite salty prices. They have really cornered the market in unlikeable diesel Toyotas from the 90s.

Marea Weekend 1.9 TD, ideal for vegging and turning up the fuel on the pump.

They were truly shite even when new. Had one in the co car fleet back in the day. It was 'orrible the one time I used it ferry myself and some friends and some skis to Glasgow Airport for a holiday. Actually, I'd say worse than 'orrible, flipping dangerous, fully loaded, in the wet.
