Does anyone want to buy a really nice* example of an ML350 for £1,495 and a lift to Monmouth?

Insurance company: What car is it?

Owner, glancing out of the window: Trans Am

Insurer: and what is the engine size?

Owner, glancing out of the window: 6.6 litre

Insurer: Okay, we just have a few more questions and I can give you your quote

Owner: Hang on, let me turn the car around

Correct dashboard for a 205, none of this round vent control nonsense

One also assumes correctly engined as well

There's a lot of bollocks in the description but basically he's right.

Worst mistake I made with new cars (and I've had a lot) was trading my 1989 XS in after two years for a 1.6 GTi ( I couldn't afford the 1.9) back in 1991. The XS was a far, far, far better car. Better response, better handling, better economy, and honestly quicker.

To say I was disappointed in the 10 and a half grand I'd spent on the GTi was a fucking massive understatement.

Traded it in at three years for a Shitroen ZX diesel........

'Low Reserve when you bear in mind re-sale value'

High reserve when you consider it needs Brewster's Millions to get it good enough to make top dollar.

'no leaks'

Which nicely ruins my plans to go and pay for it now, collect it tomorrow, then say last night's conquest was dribbling from the flange when I left.

I'd be highly interested to see a worse way to throw £375 down the shitter than buying this. It's beyond awful.

It actually looks a mobile glory hole with a tin foil door.

£2500 doesn't seem like a bad price for one of these.

Seems like a lot to me! But I’ve also watched hubnut’s latest which I had assumed was a review of a brand new car until he said it was 2013 and worth a fortune! Mrs hubnut far from impressed as well.

Engine overhaul in 2015

New starter motor

New exhaust

Brakes (master cylinder, hose, vacuum pump)

2 new rear tyres

New fan belt

New radiator

Track control rod

'Has never let me down'

Except for the time the engine needed reconditioning, the exhaust knackered up, the starter motor stopped working, the brakes jacked it in, the fan belt jumped ship, the radiator leaked and the TCR fucked itself  up?

'I am in no rush to sell'

'£8000'

Cheap Atlantean.  Drivable on a car licence, although I'm not sure the 40-year MOT exemption applies to buses as the seller is claiming?

Words fail me. It’s just so god damn awful it’s mesmerising.
