Good news, Bren, it's a classified ad so you can just buy it outright...

The water pump has gone, which is probably an £11,000 repair bill on these.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/classic-mini-project-1275/123404419929

The interior needs completing and one or two minor things to get in on the road and lastly a full paint job.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone to get a project which is nearly complete for an interesting and desirable classic mini which will definitely turn heads.

Selling due to purchasing another mini.

So basically, the car is fucked has no MOT Dubious modfications and he's bailing out.

I had a call from my slightly posh mate the other day. Saying cast you're mind back to the mid 90's do you remember the Mercedes, which was a coupe but you also got as a convertible but with a 3.2 engine? CLK I say? Yes he replies, well I've got the chance of one for of one with 40,000 miles for a few thousand quid. Oh I say they're not that popular really but you'll probably not lose any money. Really he says I can see them online for 10,000 plus. Are you sure it's a CLK I say?

Err, you said CLK I just agreed. Turns out it's an E320 Convertible, one owner 40,000 miles.

Looking forward to seeing it if he gets it.

The E-convertibles have got very expensive already. Last of the real Mercedes? I had a 24-valve E - very quick and great fun. Of the one above who knows - it has a funny exhaust and steering wheel - good or bad sign?

They seem to go for multiples of the corresponding saloon or coupe.

Having said that, you will have to keep your excessive door count saloon for a good few years until you see a ROI.

So buy one now for shite's sake and leave the EU baby boom saloons to the hipsters.

Oh, wait...

What's an "EU Baby Boom Saloon"?

This, along with the Prelude, is post of the month so far for me. Just bloody look at it.

Just a shame that the this ongoing process of [REDACTED] makes buying foreign cars much more expensive.

Apparently it has carby problems, where would we find an R16 carburettor expert?? ;-)

Hilariously clueless seller with some kind of old Vauxhall, some great pictures of pictures in the ad.

Big reserve on it - my guess is seller actually wants about four grand.

I can’t get over how stunningly beautiful the CX is, such a sexy profile.

Excuse me while I have a cold shower.
