Super realistic V12 and Scuderia bonnet strut....

In case you think 12K is a lot for a plastic MX5.....

In May 2012 the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO made for Stirling Moss set an all-time record selling price of

US$ 38 Million.

In October 2013, a USA based collector sold a 250GTO chassis number 5111GT to an unnamed buyer for a new record of around $52 Million.

In May 2018 a German collector sold a silver GTO for $70 Million

Excellent, mate. My Gran had a print of Mona Lisa on her bedroom chimney breast. If only I had known...........

Quite a pretty car, really, if it wasn't for all the GTO waffle...

The last picture in the listing says it all really....

Quote:Lots of Service history and bills.

Since pictures taken car had roof wrapped in black

Why post pictures of the car in white gel coat?

I actually like it by in white with the stripes. As replicas go , it seems quite pretty.

If I can recall Rover actually used Gtm Rossas as mechanical development mules for the Mgf. So there could be some truth in it being an influence.

The GTM from the 70's / 80's had a look of a 250 GTO/TG40 about it, and looked nicer than the Rossa.

A work mate of mine bought a new shell, for the original GTM and then built his own space frame chassis and fitted it with a 2 litre lancia twin cam with massive dellorttos.

I only saw pictures, as someone had followed him home one day and made an offer he couldn't refuse.

If I wasn't so intent on only buying dailies from here from now on...I'd happily buy this. Yeah it looks crap but you could treat it like shit and not worry.

Also my other half HATES people carriers. She will think me buying it would be a hint for kids...

I'd buy that* just for the headlights - are they factory?

Ha, that 405. Seller got it off FB Marketplace for £100, put an MOT on it and immediately tried selling it for £1795 on the 405 page. Got told that he was delusional for thinking a 1.6 was worth that, despite telling everyone he had buyers lined up.

He hasn't even cleaned it FFS.

T'internet is gr7 at flushing out these delusional folks - I mean full marks for chutzpah, but he probably needs to focus on a more "aspirational" car

That Mx5 250 kit thing; drop any pretence of it being a replica anything, find some replica Dunlop Racing wheels, maybe convert to twin Webbers for that period engine bay if you're really keen and tell everyone you have a 60s style GT Coupe.

Naaaah. Go full mental with it.

Remove all the replica Ferrari references, but then turbo it and fit some silly JDM-yo wheels and drift it everywhere for that full-on WTF reaction from people.

Seller doesn't quite seem 100%, I'd also be a bit more concerned about the gearbox fault than he is, but what a sleeper!  The fact that it's "Appliance White" makes it even better.

If this car was running perfectly it would easily be a £5000 car with this mileage and due to the rarity of the model.

Oh?

Mileage is 54,453 i made a mistake in the description when i typed 54.421 sorry.

Well it definitely isn't worth £5k now.

That would probably have more credibility if he had turned it into a replica of the original Lotus Elan......oh hang on....

i had heard a story (urban ledgend?) that Ford had bought the body tooling for the E24 off BMW for the Supercoupe Thunderbird when the 635 finished.

dunno how true (or not) that is.........

It isn't.

Just completed 2500 mile round trip...low mileage 1.4 automatic

Ditch all that shit and you'll have a reliable car then.

My mother had the GL version of that. The build quality wasn't exactly what VW were known for, with lightweight switchgear coming off in your hand and thin, tinny body panels. Anyhow, she wrote it off when a van driver not looking around him scraped the entire nearside.
