Both Blain (Car) and Barker (Autocar) reckoned the 204 had the best ride of almost any smallish saloon from the 1960s (until the R16 came along, at least) and as I generally trust their judgement on these matters I'm really keen to try one. Helps that they look so damn cool, too

I can assure you they are correct, but the R16 is an unfair comparison being a class above. i.e. in the league of the 404/504.

The direct competitor that ultimately beat it in the ride department is the Citroen GS and whether it really did is arguable.

The 204 sure is pretty. It was styled after Pininfarina's 1961 Cadillac Jacqueline concept car, which was named after Jackie Kennedy.

I don't understand the VW van as lifestyle at all , but maybe if it helps people forget their everyday drudgery it's not such a bad thing.

Obviously I'll still take the piss out of middle-aged suburban surfers* in their overpriced badly blown over ex-builders wagons rolling on scuffed Range Rover Sport alloys.

It'd take more than a vinyl wrapped builders van on multifit alloys to overcome the drudgery of living in Kirkby.

*Remembers he's trying to sell a house there*

Forget that. It's up and coming. Industrial chic. Maybe I should park a T4 on the drive as a selling aid.

I bought a Volvo off Neil Diamond on eBay once. It was a Swede car on line and made a beautiful noise, but I traded it in for the last Picasso.

That Cadillac is gorgeous, I love the shape of the 66 for some reason!

Unfortunately that Escort above has recently resurfaced on Facebook marketplace being broken for bits. Bit of a waste....

Not sure if this belongs here but its Rover/MG Demise stuff.  It is interesting even if its not desirable I guess.

Its an MG X-Power SV-R - apparently a rare piece of kit.  Ive never seen one before but the internet proves they are a thing.  Interesting write up too.
