The passenger side electric window on Mrs_garethj's Suzuki has stopped working.  I could fix it, or use it as a paper-thin excuse to replace the car with one that has aircon, is this all the early 9-3s are worth?

Obviously owned by a serial Saab fancier, I always thought the 3 doors were quite pretty.  I imagine everyone will tell you it's a Vectra underneath like I give a flying fuck about where the floorpan pressing comes from.

 

Are they any good, and really this worthless?

That does seem cheap, but then i think its based on a Mondeo, or a X type Jag i think  :mrgreen:

I've had a Porsche 924 and a Jaguar S Type, I'm familiar with seeing people running over and literally fighting through crowds when I'm parked up so they can impart their wisdom* of my cars' humble origins.

Yes and yes ! I love my 900NG !

 

Good points ? Really comfy, well-built, fairly rust-resistant, GM parts mean you can fix problems easily and cheaply.

 

Bad points ? Uninspiring handling (9-3s are meant to be better). They love to drink fuel (mine has never returned over 35mpg), and the interior isn't as spacious as you would expect from their size.

 

Get it bought !

I think chatsharris has had one for umpteen thousand miles in diesel flavour and it's only literally in the past week FTPed on him. His was even more spectacularly cheap.

Mildly pogweaseled SDI Fabia with silly trims and many miles on the clock.  Cheap though.

MK3 Cavalier, the best VauxOpel ever made.

I thought the NG900 was Mk3 Cav and the 9-3 was Vectra B?  Could be bollocks mind.

Still uses a rear torsion beam like a Cavalier. I think the 5 stud hubs are off a Calibra.
