Did no.1 & 6 ever actually fire?

Why yes my good fellow, with surprisingly nice results.

Imported into the UK in 2015 but is fitted with old number plates? Suspicious.

The seller is MGB Hive - a popular and long established MGB parts retailer. I seem to remember that the DVLA used to give a plate on imports based when it was imported.

What is weirder is the 3 sets of wiper arms on it.

Septic spec = triple wipers amongst other things.

What I mean about the plates is the fact that the Perspex number plate is physically old, i.e. Not one freshly made when this car arrived in 2015. Suspicious.

Edit: Unless the seller/business has gone to the trouble of having old looking, pre 2001 font, plates made up.

Was it the Herald- derived gearbox carrying all this torquey goodness to that spindly old axle? Now I understand one carby. Naturally I'd dearly like to own such a car but we were deprived in this hemisphere.

MGB hive often seem to have the US edition extra strangulated B's in. I saw one there a while back still with single Stromberg and air pump in situ, must have been grim. I delivered a late UK one when new,

it couldn't keep up with a Cortina 1.6.

P.S. I've no issue with MGBs being slow as fuck, my own one is. However, the yank ones just abuse the privilidge.

Never realised they were triple. Yeah there are loads of stalls in the shows that can do older style plates if requested. A few online places can do dealer logos too iirc.

Plates have MGB Hive logo so they presumably still have the old style font maker.    You are not supposed* to retro-fit them, though, IIRC.

Its definitely an age-related plate though, SCW stopped on the K originally.
