Matey has five listings running for that Mondeo with a variety of different start prices and Buy it Nows, if they all sell he'll have fun explaining it to four unhappy buyers, or maybe he's clever enough to know that if he gets five 'buyers'. hopefully one of them will actually turn up, pay the money and take the car away.

Some of those five adverts own up to the car having a misfire... some of them don't... wonder if a buyer could claim it was 'mis-described' if they bid on the version of the advert where it wasn't mentioned and then discovered the fault? The different prices for 'Buy it now' would be another interesting point of contention...

Not sure there's a monkey's 'orth of bits to be had from this rather knackered Chevette, but what do I know.

Yes...I've even seen Riley RM's posing as pre-war German cars...

CJ5s and M35s as D-Day chod and M5s as German half tracks. In the same film.

I had one...yes I think mine did. Say's car is a '71...donning my anorak for a moment this has chrome beazels to dash...thought these were only on the very early cars...68 on...so car may be earlier than 71.

Domestic vs. Export?

Waiting lists on the early XJ6's were up to a year or more when they were introduced - something unknown these days. This could have been an early one that was a demonstrator and then reg.. who knows. Jaguar were all over the place in those days with strikes. Nice car...the manual gb and winder windows gave it a different character from other XJ's I owned. Its an SWB too.

There was plenty of disruption from industrial disputes too....Some of those early XJs couldn't be fitted with the proper grille owing to a strike at the casting plant and went out with a straight mesh substitute which you had to go and get changed at a Jag dealership later on.   Wonder if there are any of those left?

I do keep thinking of these every so often.

That said going by my history I maybe avoid small cars that rust if there so much as moisture in the air in Shanghai. And red...
