eBay tat volume 3.

This is a fascinating find.

Shame the owner's had it for a few years but still can't spell the name correctly.

Ideal for someone with no friends??

A prime example of a vehicle which should have stayed in its own country, with all that wonderful history.  Instead bought over here to be tarted up into some sort of 'promotional tool'.

Watch it being converted into a beavertail and show up at Goodwood in full Campari livery.

Fraud Garages may be able to help with that...

I won't deny, I posted that in the hope you'd respond! ;)

I've been debating about contacting you about yours. Just been holding off until I get proper storage sorted to free up drive space.

Also tempted to look at this which is still for sale: http://forum.triumphdolomite.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33220

That has a more powerful engine, double round headlights and also the All-Systems-Go indicator that the 1300 doesn't have. Both things that I'd really like. However the engine has been a swap from a TR7 and a bit of an unknown lump in terms of reliability (it's hardly been run by the present owner). Its also more expensive - but comes with 2 other engines and other spares.

My wife doesn't like the colour though. It's also too similar to my MGB colour too and I don't really want two the same colour...

Yours however is (from last mention) a lot cheaper that that and been used a fair bit more (so reliability is known). Which, given the stress the MGB has given me by breaking is a massive selling point. Purplebargken has sold me a lot on the smaller engine dollys as they're not only a lot easier to fix but tunable and fun too. So it also potentially solves my insatiable need to fiddle and my persistent habit of spending money on hopeless old cars... (well most BL stuff from this era really is).

Also I much prefer buying cars from here!

IIRC you're over Andover way?

That 1850HL looks good, but you could buy mine twice for that price ;-)

Fire me a PM, if you want to discuss further !

Full electrics VERY RARE

Clever how they've made the 'full electrics' rear windows look like a wind up ones.

Weirdly there is no register of it ever being MOT'd?

*Edit: Service history seems to suggest it's had a hair cut.

Ever been tempted by some hopeless resto project on eBay but chickened out because you don't have a garage with power for a welder?  Well now you have no excuse.

I just so happen to know someone who has a suitable Morris Minor for this ringing kit.

Yea. I once stumbled across one of my old cars at a 'prestigious' auction tun by a well know auction house at a country house venue etc. Catalogue was full of absolute bullshit about the car - so 'history' about being part of some 'collection'. Absolutely cobblers.
